That's a goal. Why no VAR? That was the quickest VAR in history? 2 seconds? That is poor by the officials.

Fairly struck off, but Russo does deserve a goal, she's worked hard

So many fouls on us by the Dutch, but no yellow cards.

Spanish TV saying that 3rd goal should have stood.

As we've now got a 3rd its not a problem though.

Wasnt expecting it to be this easy, the dutch looked decent in their first game!

Hilariously bad finish by the LW in the run-up to that though

4-0. Gotta be honest, the Dutch keeper could possibly have done better there. But we are carving them a new one right now. Never saw this coming after the France match.

Keeper should have done better, but I'll take it. This hopefully gets England back on track, ought to thump the Welsh on this showing

They were playing Wales whose players mostly aren't WSL. They will have looked better than they were.

I was more worried about them having nicked a result against England a couple of years back that put us out of the Olympics.

Looking at the draw, it might actually work in our favour finishing as group runner up. This is conditional on Sweden wining or drawing v Germany though.

If they do then our route to the final would be Sweden and then likely Norway.

That is definitely more favourable than winning the group which would mean playing Germany then Spain.

They were European champions in 2017 and World Cup finalists in 2019, so there's no questioning their pedigree. That said, the current side isn’t quite at those heights.

That's more like it, the Dutch are no mugs either so it's a bit more of a statement win.

Have to make sure we turn over the Welsh now and use the momentum

Wales looking good against France. Currently 1-1 and Wales giving it a real go.

Bet they’re glad they dropped the other goalie.

Wales still battling but now being overrun. The Dutch also turned the screw late on. So possibly the Welsh can't keep up fir 90 minutes at this level.

Agreed, and I'm sure England will have noted it and will be planning tactics accordingly.

The good news for Wales is that England's win over Netherlands manes England only have to match the Dutch result in the last games, so a comfortable win will do fine. If England needed a really big win to go through on goal difference that England-Wales game might be a cricket score.

Anyway, since the first half of that game contained what I expect to be the highlight of Wales' tournament, I will just observe that there are three inevitable things in this life: death, taxes and Jess Fishlock.
