The funny thing is Kaminski did play in that match, but for Blackburn3

All I did was point out what he did and what his record says. If you feel negative about that, then that kind of paints the picture.Bedsaddick said:

To be fair, he only played 20 games, averaging 14 minutes of football per appearance that season, was hardly instrumental. It's not like we have signed Doughty or one of their other heavy hitters.Bedsaddick said:

2 defenders & a goalkeeper. From a team that has suffered back to back relegations. 🙄
That would be like if we sold Gassan to a League1 side and tried saying he got us promoted to the Championship. Although it is true, he played a part, but the context is relevant.
This is a player with a truly woeful injury record and it's quite consistent. Let's hope we can get him playing, but the smart money says he will feature about the same amount as Dan Potts, unless our medical team can perform miracles.MrOneLung said:signed another player with back to back relegations on his C.V.
It's not like I've said "he's f'in shit, not welcome" etc.
And if you think we have some of the most negative fans, you can't pay too much attention to other clubs socials. We are a very passive fan base in the grand scheme of things.2 -

I know what you’re trying to say but you don’t do yourself any favours with the Dan Potts comparison, a player who played 75 mins in the league for us.Braziliance said:

For context, Burke’s minutes the past few seasons have been
- 24/25: 855 (in the Championship relegation),
- 23/24: 1663 (in the Premier League relegation),
- 22/23: 1307 (in the Championship promotion),
- 21/22: 2122 (in a Championship top six side),
- 20/21: 2873 (in a League One title campaign with Hull)
Ramsay’s minutes last season were 2656 and Jones played 3112.
Our own point of reference for a crocked player might be Chuks, who over the same period contributed the following amount of minutes per season: 625, 517, 326 (half season), 442 and 1532.7 -

Can anyone name all nine current and former Charlton players involved in this match? There's also a bonus tenth who was released and never made a first team appearance.1 -

Think it's already been highlighted that Jones struggles to manage a full season, that's why it isn't Ideal we have signed someone who can't stay fit.
Ditto Ramsay.
My point with Potts is that it was an unambitious signing and not an obvious upgrade. If Luton, Hull and whoever else couldn't fix him, I don't see why we would be any different.
Fingers crossed though ay0 -

Oh there's plenty more, seems to have collected 3 or 4 a year stretching back to 2017, so not ideal, but we can only hope and trust that Nathan knows what he can offer, as he has experience of him one would hope so, anyway, welcome to The Valley Reece, now show us what you can do...arthur said:
whilst not ideal to pick up injuries that isnt really an awful injury record. Probably only a little worse than average. Several of our key players, Jones and Ramsey had similar times out injured.eastterrace6168 said:
Last season he missed three months of Luton’s campaign with a quad injury, similarly in the Hatters’ Premier League season he was out for two months with a knee injury. In their promotion season 2022/23 under Jones, the 6ft 2in defender missed two months because of a hamstring injury.ShootersHillGuru said:Anybody know exactly what Burkes injury problems have been ?0 -

The geezer obviously don't like trains... How he squares that with our support is the biggest question, not that his quads are made of Weetebix IMHO.ForeverAddickted said:I've heard there is an official inquiry going on within the Preston Recruitment Team at the moment, questions are being asked and apparently heads are going to roll as to why he's not in a shirt with "SpudBros" on the front of it0 -
When you’re shopping on a budget, one of the ways you can get a bit more quality for your money is to gamble a bit on a player with a patchy injury record in the hope you can get on top of the injury problems. A bit like buying a fixer-upper house or a car that needs a major repair.
Fair to say our track record of doing this is not great. However, a lot has changed on that front at the club and Abbot and Jones probably did about the best job of anyone with Aneke. Jones also knows a bit about Burke and may well have contacts at Luton he’s been able to tap up for info, so hopefully he and Abbot have a plan for how to manage Burke and keep him available for selection. Sounds like he’ll be a good player if we can do that.
Welcome to the club Reece.6 -
Something to do with his legs.🙄ShootersHillGuru said:Anybody know exactly what Burkes injury problems have been ?2 -
Perhaps we can find out where Jacko’s went to and Burke can use those.SoundAsa£ said:

Don't know much about Burke other than he is younger than Jones, keep forgetting Jones is 29 when he seems much younger
At least Burke is in for pre season so hopefully that can get him fully fit and ready to go for the season1 -

I suspect this. His defensive prowess there will be needed with the step up to the Championship.ForeverAddickted said:To be fair, if we can get a decent Right Wing-Back I'm not too bothered about his injury record. Ramsay has proven to be more than adequate, so in an ideal world, if you're rotating those two enough, we hopefully shouldnt have anything to worry about.
I still wonder though if Burke's arrival will see Ramsay going back to RWB though.
Good signing. Now it's on the medical team to keep him fit. Sounds from Cawley's write up like Luton had a hard time keeping a lot of players fit the last couple of seasons, Bell included. We have to hope that we have something different about us.3 -

Potts was always a gamble, that's why we only took him on a free and gave him a short term contract. We've paid a fee for Burke so it's pretty clear that we expect him to be fit and available to play.11
