I’d say Miles is around the same height as Joe.blackpool72 said:

I'd say he's about 6'5, think the club are exaggerating his height a bit with that figure.
Miles is a weird one really as in someone who is supposedly 6'7 he's not that great in the air but is skilful with his feet.NabySarr said:
Exactly, he’s better if you get the ball into his feet. We need someone else to be the battering ram to replace Aneke for that impact rolekillerandflash said:
And Miles isn't just a big lump up front, indeed he's a bit wasted playing if just used as a battering ram.NabySarr said:
I think we will want another big man. Whenever plan A didn’t work last season we subbed Aneke on and hit long balls. We need someone for that. Leaburn can compete with Godden for one of the starting roles and is also a good impact player from the bench but we can’t rely on him being fit so need another big manMarcusH26 said:Miles being fit and firing wouldn't stop me still wanting another striker in the building, would want someone more in the poacher mould like the sniffer dog.
But exaggerating a smidge.
A very good mate of mine who you have met posts on here.
His son who is also Charlton is 6 '7.
Having stood next to both of them I think Miles is about 6'5 or 6 '6 at a push.
They have met btw.0 -
Remember Miles has been growing, he's only 21.
This must be the most CL discussion ever, debating how tall a player is and are the club making it up.
I'm 6'3" by the way8 -
Why would you do this, leave while you still have your sanity, run and godspeed to you.ThomasOliver3 said:Hey all,
Longer time reader, first time poster. Taking the plunge now everything is looking much more positive for the club. Thanks for having me.
It's been a really positive summer, delighted with the signings of Kaminski and Olaofe, intrigued by Carey (not seen much of him) and uncertain about Bell (have we got him on the decline)
Agree with most on here that's I'd like to see x2 RWB's and CAM and another forward added.
Also, welcome 😉7 -
Anyone seen the 7ft bloke at wembley. Maybe we should sign him up too0

I thought this for a while but after looking at Miles aerial contributions, he's actually pretty good in the air, I think we just expect more because of how tall he is (I know I do).blackpool72 said:

Miles is deffo clear of 6'5 as well, he is taller than Lloyd Jones, has to be at least 6'6.
Charlton site not got this height wrong.4 -
I've always found online stats (including the official club's website) to be iffy. The number of solid footballers who weigh around 60 kg is astonishing!1

ThomasOliver3 said:On the subject of transfer targets a couple of players I'd be interested in.
- Tyrhys Dolan - Out of contract with Blackburn lots of experience but only 23, I saw him as a player who could compete and cover for TC. Seems to have lots of interest though
- Alex Freeman - I was recently in Orlando and saw this lad play, looked a fantastic player, again young, RWB who was an impressive athlete over 6ft, quick and ran all game, he even scored. A US U23 INTL, MLS All-star and just had a senior call-up. Looking online he's interested clubs in the Championship and Serie A previously and a fee of £2m mentioned. He maybe out of budget but given our need for this position he'd be perfect and someone I think we could make a lot of money on
I watch quite a bit of MLS and Freeman is a very impressive young player. Someone that you'd want to get this summer for a sensible price because by next summer he'd be out of the bracket for a championship club to sign. Now he's a full international his price is only going to go up.2 -
Yann was half a foot shorter than Miles but he could read the ball. He got the trajectory, backed into the player and then moved forward to trap it. Against better defenders he'd get a flick on to BWP.
Miles has yet to gain that skillset.4 -

Searched Alex Freeman on twitter, the reviews don’t look too promising, again 😂

So, Miles has signed a "I am very injury prone, so interest in me has backed off!" contract?
Hope it pays off for both parties.2 -

“jersey” “ass” blokes that have probably been watching the game for 18 months and expect the US national team to be on the level of Brazil.Braziliance said:Searched Alex Freeman on twitter, the reviews don’t look too promising, again 😂

Do people reckon we would have any chance with Donnell McNelly. Chelsea 19yr old striker, out of contract and refusing to sign as wants first team football. Teams in the EFL being linked apparently but no names. Maybe would know Leaburn from their academy? Would have a decent chance of first team footy here if good enough.
Lots of kids stay at Chelsea too long getting comfy on money so seems a good attitude he is looking for footy already.
Maybe Connor Gallagher could call him and put in a word..

Quick, strong and hard working on FM, could suit NJ and could be too much of a gamble for clubs with bigger budgets. These are the sort of players we should be looking at, aside from Small I don't remember any other PL academy players joining and making an impact.Athletico Charlton said:Do people reckon we would have any chance with Donnell McNelly.
