We'll probably end up groundsharing with them when our lease runs out.killerandflash said:
The whole of the Luton squad were at our training ground last week, so that NJ could choose which ones he wanted to sign. It saves time.raytreacy said:I am loath to post rumours on here, because if they don’t turn up signing you get some stick. Take this anyway you want but I heard Reece Burke was at the training ground last week.9 -

17 games for forest maybe, but he has been out on loan at various clubs and played 74 games in the last 2.5 seasons.RonnieMoore said:Then you look at a Wrexham breaking their transfer record for Notts Forest midfielder who played just 17 games in 3 years !!!!!0 -
Davis Keillor-Dunn's contract with Barnsley FC expires on June 30, 2027, with a club option for an additional year, according to Transfermarkt. He joined the club on August 30, 2024.Don’t think Barnsley need to sell and can’t see them dropping their valuation based on him effectively having three years left.1

Exactly, they won’t be in a rush, one good season away from the champ which would be worth more to them than selling nowShootersHillGuru said:Davis Keillor-Dunn's contract with Barnsley FC expires on June 30, 2027, with a club option for an additional year, according to Transfermarkt. Re: Burke and Bell, we don’t know if they have and will be bought in to play as first teamers or back up. At the moment, Gillesphey has probably (and imo, deservedly), earned his shot alongside Jones and Ramsey as the starting back 3, and it’s for Bell to dislodge Gillesphey. If we bring Burke in, it could be a similar story re: Ramsey.I don’t think Ramsey is RWB material, but he doesn’t look bad on the ball, and felt he and Small looked good together down the right when Ramsey did carry the ball forward4

Another CM in at Birmingham, surely a cheeky bid for Marc Leonard is worth it now?15

Can’t believe we’re about to miss out on Gyokeres18

I’ve said it before but that’s true for more than just Dixon, we have several u21s on the fringes who could also break through this season. The number signed up to long term contracts shows the faith Jones and the club have in them.Sage said:Just got a feeling that with a full pre season and working under the conditions Jones and Dr Abbott will have set, we might be pleasantly surprised at a certain Kaheim Dixon.
He gets into every Jamaican squad and yes, he’s raw, but with the Championship being a different league and having less of the ball in general, he might be a decent option in transition this coming season. Who knows.
The Championship is a big step up, but the extra subs will give them more opportunities and coming into a settled team should also help them make that jump.
It’s going to be interesting to see which of them are regularly part of the first team match day squad, which are loaned out and who stays with the u21s.10 -
It's quite frightening that Marc Leonard may not even get on Birmingham City's bench this season, but if he joined us he would probably be one of our best players if not the best.MarcusH26 said:Another CM in at Birmingham, surely a cheeky bid for Marc Leonard is worth it now?18 -
They’ve not got Gassan Ahadme though.Braziliance said:

As for raiding Luton, they’ve put out a sign saying fire sale, and we know better then others who’s on what and what the value is, so might as well exploit it for good championship experience players23

For me he'd be the ideal upgrade over Doc, I know NJ is keen for there to be no sentiment and Doc feels like the weak point for me midfield wise.Braziliance said:

Birmingham are operating on a completely different financial level to most of the league. Their owner is ridiculously ambitious on and off the field and pumping a lot of money into Birmingham as a city too.5 -

I expect Davis Keillor-Dunn to leave in the summer, but suspect it won't be to us. Geography doesn't help either (unlike with say Olaofe).ShootersHillGuru said:Davis Keillor-Dunn's contract with Barnsley FC expires on June 30, 2027, with a club option for an additional year, according to Transfermarkt. Just to say I haven’t heard anything or seen anyone at the training ground.10

Anyone saying Ramsay can't be the RWB as he's "too defensive" or "doesn't get forward" should watch this.

Yes it's a highlight package from the man himself, but he's got enough in there of him driving forwards up that right hand side that disproves the narrative that he can't attack15 -
He can do those things from right centre back though. He doesn’t offer enough threat in the final third, and that was at league 1 level. His best position is RCB, I think we can maybe use him at wing back against the likes of Southampton and Ipswich etc where we are going to be a lot more defensive, but other than that he should be in the back 3sam3110 said:Anyone saying Ramsay can't be the RWB as he's "too defensive" or "doesn't get forward" should watch this.

Really important we try and get him to sign a new contract before a ball is kicked, as I am utterly convinced he will have upper champ interest and potentially even Premier League after a season or even a half a season.sam3110 said:Anyone saying Ramsay can't be the RWB as he's "too defensive" or "doesn't get forward" should watch this.

I know we have him for 2 years but we don't want to stay up for instance and know he only has 1 year left so we likely have to sell.

Absolutely agree (and we definitely should be making overtures to Leonard) but comparisons to Birmingham in terms of transfers etc are probably not helpful or even particularly useful.Braziliance said:

Outside of the teams with Premier league payments, no-one is going to realistically be anywhere near them in terms of spending etc nor should we realistically be trying to.
Even Wrexham who have thrown lots of money at getting promotion to this level are well below Birmingham so far in spending etc.1 -

Or we switch to a back four and he does that attacking from right back?2

Does Gillesphey play in a back four?Callumcafc said:Or we switch to a back four and he does that attacking from right back?1 -
Jones tends to prefer two strikers so I think that’s unlikely.Callumcafc said:Or we switch to a back four and he does that attacking from right back?0 -
I saw a post on X yesterday comparing Birmingham, Wrexham and Charlton's transfer business so far; a lot of Brum fans were commenting on how good our window has been.17

And we signed Bell who Jones in the quote called a left sided centre back, which he’d only be in a 3.fenaddick said:

But I still think we will replace Small so that the lopsided 3-5-2 is our go to option and maybe the more traditional 3-5-2 if we want to be more defensive against the top sides2 -
Signed 2 good league 1 players with room to develop and 2 players with loads of experience at this level and higher. Great window so farcharlton_hero said:I saw a post on X yesterday comparing Birmingham, Wrexham and Charlton's transfer business so far, a lot of Brum fans were commenting on how good our window has been.18 -
If we want to go more traditional we have to improve our attacking options through the centre drastically.NabySarr said:

That looks to be the plan the attacking options we’ve brought in so far Carey and Olaofe are players who can create chances for themselves and play very direct. Doubt we will see as much football being played as we did last season but it’s going to have to be what we need to do to survive. Get these attacking options to score out of nothing or set pieces then just hold onto the lead. Last championship season we was in we conceded 20 goals in the last 15 minutes of games which was a big part why we got relegated Jones will have us winning the more 50/50 games than other teams down the bottom it won’t be pretty but if I have to watch a structured physical long ball side to see us stay up this year so be itSteven81 said:
