RIP Gordon. Many memories of his uncompromising displays against aggressive centre forwards twice his size eg. Dave Hickson (Everton). A real gentleman too.
Was the school football coach and took us once a week while a Charlton player. Never realised how good a coach he would end up Enjoyed his coaching sessions RIP
Some time ago I wrote an article about the history of the Charlton badge. Gordon's name was given to me as a potential contact - as someone who was around the club at the time significant changes happened. He couldn't have been more helpful and encouraging. A true gentleman.
Sad loss! I have this picture in my memorabilia, team photo from 1960 the year I was born. The man himself is second left middle row. Lots of other legends in that side including my dad’s favourite, Stuart Leary.

Great post and interview by photographer Kyle Andrews, who was Gordon’s great nephew.
Great servant of the club - good player who was always reliable and committed
