    Would be happy with Olaofe, still pretty raw but fits the mould of what Nathan likes in a striker.

    Looking at their squad I can’t see who else it would be. They’ve got a young Icelandic striker who they signed earlier this year and Wooton who’s 28, and a few others they only had on loan.

    He also fits what Jones wants in strikers perfectly, quick, strong and hard working.

    From what I remember, @DOUCHER leaked the Lewis Bate injury on here before Stockport fans knew.

    Olaofe is the only striker i can remember being a real handful for our defence, although he didn’t score he was all over us at their place.

    Apparently we were linked with him at end of the summer 2022 window, when he was at Millwall. 

    My mate know him personally him and says he’s a nice quiet and polite lad.

    Fun fact, Olafe was scouted for Millwall by a big Charlton fan.

    Cawley mentioned on his pod yesterday that the Olaofe link wasn’t denied by the club when he asked, so assumed there is some truth to it. Good signing if true.

    Lot to like about the IO signing. 25 so about to hit his prime, Athletic so fits NJ’s style. From the area so returning home. Pacey and powerful.

    More of a striker but for Stockport he did both. He is basically the perfect fit for the role that TC has played this year

    A lot of comments about his finishing are based off 1 game (in which he also scored with a great finish). You can't judge someone's finishing ability of a 1 game sample size. His finishing record is pretty decent overall

    He also said at the end next week they’d be reacting to transfers on Substack and getting the lowdown from people who know these players. Louis then clarified Rich wasn’t promising they’re definitely happening.

    So hopefully they’ve heard of a few expected to be announced soon.

    We’ve got a finisher in Godden, it’s pace, power and running we need up front to complement him, so for me he ticks one of the boxes for the 2/3 strikers we need.

    We’re not going to sign someone physical like that who’s also a superb finisher. If we somehow manage to or help a player get to that level he’s not going to be with us for long.

    His xG to goals ratio is actually pretty good to be fair, around 9 for both which suggests he’s putting away the chances given to him. Godden over performed his xG by 3 so we’re all possibly putting too much expectation on strikers a bit

    Tanto Olaofe would be a top signing - fits the NJ mold for a forward to a tee. Would give us everything we were hoping to get from Ahadme and more.

    He looked excellent against us but then so did Frasier, Kirk etc previously. My trust in Jones is such that if he wants to sign him that’s good enough so hopefully it has happened and he rips it up this season

    Olaofe would be a good signing for sure up top but we still need a someone a bit more proven or exciting up there and have the likes of him and Godden to compensate.
