It’s the top performing clubs in their country/region since the last one. There are no Scottish teams at all.

The best crowds and certainly the loudest fans have all been for the Brazilian and Argentinian sides.
I wouldn’t be so sure it’ll be similar in terms of loud fans. Course, there are so many expats in the states that numbers will be full though.
It’s loud for this, because Argentina and Brazil have a huge club culture (similar to here), so if you go to a club game in South America, it’ll be similar but national team games are nowhere near the atmosphere (similar to here). Plus the ‘mundial’ has always been huge for them - it’s their opportunity to beat the ‘big teams’ who steal their best players (and also the opportunity to beat the colonisers).
Then the other thing helping this tournament is that they probably have the ‘most appropriate’ South American teams for the benefit of the competition (unlike Chelsea for England) - eg it’s a genuine piece of shame for Palmeiras and Fluminense that they have never won a mundial, but their biggest rivals have previously won it (Corinthians and São Paulo, Flamengo and Vasco respectively) so their fans are well up for it in a ‘shut up the noisy neighbours’ type spirit. Or Botafogo having been relegated twice in the last 10 years but now being continental champions making their first appearance so their fans are just living a dream. Finally, Flamengo, Boca and River are all huge clubs with millions of fans, many of whom live in the US.

As far as i'm aware the OFC Champions league and domestic leagues will still remain, this is basically an additional league. Kind of like an OFC super league i guess.

Australia used to be in the OFC but moved to Asia for more competitive games. I mean this is a team who in the same round of qualifying once won games 31-0 and 22-0 so it's not a surprise they asked to move. Plus the AFC back then wasn't even guaranteed a qualifying spot at the world cup.

Australia used to be in the OFC but moved to Asia for more competitive games. I mean this is a team who in the same round of qualifying once won games 31-0 and 22-0 so it's not a surprise they asked to move. Plus the AFC back then wasn't even guaranteed a qualifying spot at the world cup.
They'd also win those games by silly amounts, and then still fail to Qualify because like New Zealand in past years, they'd come up against a much stronger opponent from South America etc. in the Inter-Continental Play-Off, so regardless, their move to AFC was always going to increase their chances.
