Wouldn't be surprised if what people were saying the other day about DMac needing the cash badly and not getting anything for Ricky Jade-Jones, Kyprianou and a reduced fee for Poku is panicking him. Mothersille strikes me as one of the few players they have that they could get " something" for that they have left.0 -
I thought some Orient fans were a little bit delusional before the playoff final....but this takes the biscuit.

I've got no rumours to offer but was hoping for some striker noise. Most important position for strengthening I feel5

Yes but their manager is McLaren. He wouldn't t know a decent footballer if he fell over one.LTKapal said:Reminder mothersille is behind Dixon in the Jamaica team5 -
An alternative view is as much as FLW have been click-bait nonsense previously, recently they've got a few things right.
It's the transfer rumours thread at the end of the day, believe what you want to believe.
Mothersille has the Jamaica link and would probably integrate well, so there's that. We also need a player with a bit of trickery and pace up top. Would be a good signing if we can make it happen. Another one ready for the drop if we go down, or we sell if he has a good season.

The next 75 days will be crucial, c'mon Charlton...🙄2

Dithering too long with 75 days left of the window is quite an accusation!Valiantphil said:We tried to loan a CB from BHAFC recently, but we dithered too long and it’s looking unlikely.10 -
Mothersille is only 21. Very dangerous and outperformed RJJ and Poku for goal involvements I think.Unknown quantity he may be but he could also have a very high ceiling2

I’m not a huge fan of FLW but in their defence, they do actually get quite a few things right now and are breaking these stories rather than regurgitating.I feel like at the beginning they just rehashed stuff but they’ve been doing it a while now and have probably developed their own contacts, certainly at particular clubs I notice they have the inside scoop on.Feels like everyone just remembers them from the start and have written them off accordingly.I’d take the rumour at face value - we’ve made an enquiry but not an offer. I’d say we’ve probably done that for many players gauging their value - don’t think FLW have really overdone it or said it’s going to happen, no different to any other rumours site or poster.3
-
And with Darragh being such a mouthy gobshite I hope the EFL would apply a fudge factor to any tribunal costs.“Normally it would be £500k compensation but we’ll make is £250k because you’re a bit of a twat”22

Local media here say he has 12 months leftSwisdom said:
I think he’s out of contract so it will be up to a tribunalfenaddick said:Problem with Mothersille is Dmac will try to use him to recoup the money lost on RJJ and Poku so we’d end up paying over the odds. That’s before you even take into account that it’s come from FLW0 -
Outperformed poku by one more goal involvement I just see but also played 45 games to poku's 27.Swisdom said:Mothersille is only 21. Very dangerous and outperformed RJJ and Poku for goal involvements I think.Unknown quantity he may be but he could also have a very high ceiling4 -

FLW is a terrible site that makes stuff up or copies other sites. Take anything they say with a pinch of salt.6 -
I can see it as being plausible honestly. There are (apparently) questions about attitude etc but possibly Jones is backing himself to sort that out and hopefully turn "potential" into productive player.Braziliance said:An alternative view is as much as FLW have been click-bait nonsense previously, recently they've got a few things right.

I'm not saying it's definitely a goer but wouldn't be shocked if it does have some basis in fact either.0 -
Missing Imray, pictures in a Charlton shirt. Palace Youth Left Back I think.RobinOnions said:Crucially, Mothersille fits very nicely into the open LM spot in the CL Transfer Rumour XI. More striker gossip please!

It’s not just about the players value now even including potential. It’s the fact that he’s entering his last year under contract. Certainly Orient can hold out for an overvalued fee now but if there are no takers then in January that real figure whatever it might be that clubs are prepared to pay will be less. At that point Orient cash in on whatever is on the table or he runs down his contract and walks for nothing. I very much doubt Orient can afford to do that with their only prize asset. I think he’ll be gone quite late in the window for around £1.8 million. Sadly I think we’ll lose out in that last minute scramble.Chris_from_Sidcup said:
Plus whilst 2.5m might seem a lot for him now, he's a player with serious potential and sell on value. If he had a good season in the Championship, then at today's prices you could potentially be looking at selling him for 15m+ next summer.Braziliance said:Can't see Galbraith going for less than 2 million tbh unless the add-ons are heavy and big clauses. I don't trust Nixon at all but between 2-2.5 million is about right for a player of that quality, regardless of there just being a year left. That's the difference between securing a player, or being in a free for all free agent market when his contract is up.
Different calibre of club of course, by lightyears, but I don't think Bayern cared too much on spending 100 million on Kane with a year left. Context always matters when paying a price for a player. I know Bayern are a completely different level of club, but the premise is the same.
What people may see as a heavy price for a player with a year left, I see a marginal difference of a fee for a player which could be the difference in staying up. Of course there are players out there who may offer the same, but if Jones wants him, Jones should push for it.
We won't get much better for that price tag I don't think, but let's see.
I'm not saying they're the same calibre of player but Blackburn sold Wharton for 18m + add ons after 44 league games in the Championship.0 -
Unless Huddersfield offer amazing wages, I can't see him choosing another L1 side over a Championship one.12

Mothersille has more goals and assists this season than Campbell has over his 104 game league career. I’d take him.1
-
Agree but if Hudds are spending that sort of fee plus what they’ve already spent then perhaps they are next seasons Birmingham. That might persuade the player if the wages are Championship level.killerandflash said:Unless Huddersfield offer amazing wages, I can't see him choosing another L1 side over a Championship one.1 -
So is FLW now reputable source when it’s a rumour we like?3

Didn’t Huddersfield spend big last summer but failed to make the play offsShootersHillGuru said:

I'd take a punt on Mothersille... Should be relatively cheap and will know a few of the team already, so should settle quickly. Relatively low downside and big potential upside1

Yeah, they spent a lot, yet finished 10th.Todds_right_hook said:
