Best match was the women's MITB, by far.

Rhea Ripley, Roxanne Perez & Stephanie Vaquer are all very, very talented. I could watch them wrestle all day.
    Whatever you say, Booker

Triple threat, triple devil's kiss centipede style. That's all I'm asking to see.

  • MITB was pretty entertaining. I like Logan Paul he does some great moves

The talent that's come up from NXT is incredible. Like Bron they kept Perez in NXT until there was a space for her. Hopefully the days of people doing well in NXT then getting lost in the main roster are over.

I absolutely despise Logan Paul (the actual person not the wrestling "character'') but he is certainly good at the physical aspects of wrestling.
  • Triple threat match:

2001 version of Trish stratus v Tiffany Stratton v Liv Morgan

    Stephanie McMahon special guest referee

Paul Levesque (HHH) - make it happen.

I'd be good at working for wwe if I had a time machine. I've got some good story telling ideas.
  • Ron Killings just saved WWE and has given a fresh new angle.

I'll be honest, the Cena heel turn has been absolutely diabolical. I saw someone say that that's the point, it wasn't meant to be entertaining but that's just lazy. The Rock not being involved killed everything about selling his soul etc. Unless they've got something long term planned out, it's been absolutely terrible and Cena hasn't been a great heel imo.

Not sure what they do with Seth, if they make him win the actual WWE title or the World Champ.

I'm also missing Roman Reigns badly. I know he's getting on, and WWE need to move on, but no one has big character feel like him. The theme, the mic skills, the story line.

This Ron Killings angle is a very welcome surprise though and I hope he wins it just like Daniel Bryan and Kofi did.
  • I think Seth's role is bring up Bron to the main event level until he turns on him. Maybe in the run up to mania Bron costs Seth his cash in or some other shenanigans to have Seth v Bron at 'mania. Fuck it, have Heyman turn on Seth as well!

The way they've built Solo v Jacob has been good. Solo has come along recently. Seems being pushed too soon won't affect him long term like it did to The Miz.
  • By the way, Roman is only 40! For comparison Ron Killings is 53 (confirms the old saying about not cracking...)

Yeah it feels pretty inevitable that it will be Bron Vs Seth at some point and Bron will have his Batista moment, Heyman will side with Bron.

Seth will go face again at some point as always.

I'm wondering if Solo will get some sort of face push. He's come across really weak lately so I'm not sure on the angle. Something like Roman coming back and feuding with Fatu with Solo going back to Roman could help his cause.

Apparently TKO are offering Roman a bad contract. How true that is I don't know, it's just what I read. Would be a damn shame as Reigns is right up there for me with the best.
  • Fatu is a face so Solo will remain a heel. Likewise Roman, who was on course for being on Mount Rushmore before becoming a part-timer, is a face. Solo will plod around the mid card for a bit with Cobb before getting another push.

I think Seth needs a refresh. I find him pretty dull.

But is Fatu a face by design, or have the crowd accepted him that way? I think it's the latter and the writers have leaned into it. I reckon people will start to feel sorry for Solo and can see him having a redemption story.

Seth I kind of agree. Before the side with Heyman and the win I was finding him really boring. But this has changed him.

Bit of a petty one, I've never liked Seths finishers, the stomp looks goofy and not brutal like the Punt, and only one man hits the pedigree right.

I think he could do with a new finisher, and emulating old school Triple H. Really dirty. Maybe even get Becky involved.
  • Is anyone still interested in Goldberg? 😑
  • Looked like he could barely walk
  • After some of the disaster matches even 6-7 years ago, I'm amazed they're still rolling him out. Feels a complete waste of a title match having him involved to just get knackered after about 3 minutes.
  • Rolled my eyes as soon as his theme music hit.

Can only assume they're doing it so Gunther can win and make him more believable as a strongman.

Think the Seth stuff is a bit messy, too much going on.

Anyone else really dislike Sami Zayn now or just me?
  • Never taken to Zayn tbh

    Same as Jey

Hoping the Goldberg stuff ends in him being pinned clean by Gunther, then Seth and his goon squad come out and wreck shop, they get the title off Gunther ASAP and have him work face for a bit against a heel Rollins
  • Is anyone still interested in Goldberg? 😑
Saw a clip on twitter and knew this wouldn't have gone down well. The guy could barely move years ago, so he isn't going to have got any better and he's now 58!
  • I assumed it was one of those nonsense matches at a Saudi Show, but it's a final match in his home town. No idea what he's done to deserve it so late into his barely part-time career. Hope it's short as he can barely move and frankly sucks.

Zayn is class, I'm still willing to die on the hill of him beating Roman in Montreal! I don't have an issue with Jey being a world champion for 2 months. He's super over with the kids and it didn't harm Gunther at all, which is something I'm concerned about Goldberg doing his match.

Solo has been showing a lot of improvement. His feud with Roman happened way too soon but he's now showing a personality and a lot of potential. Jacob is already at the main event level.
  • Solo is much better as the goofier more comedic version instead of being the serious leader he was previously.

Goldberg is a busted flush, if anyone can make it look even a little bit good it will be Gunther but I really don't see why this match is needed.

Jacob's a face because he's about 300lbs and hits a perfect Christopher Daniels best moonsault ever. No way will fans ever boo that. It's why Owens stopped doing his 'flash shit' when he was working as a heel.

To be a leader you need charisma which he didn't show. He was ideal for the silent enforcer for the same reasons as Arnold and Terminator. Solo's current role is far more suited. Perhaps he takes the US title off of Jacob with help from Cobb/returning /debuting samona allowing Jacob to move up the card?

  • The match between Goldberg and Undertaker from Crown Jewel in 2019 is the biggest abomination of a match I've seen in modern wrestling. From that very moment it should have been a case where they just banned him from being involved in anything in-ring ever again - for his safety and anyone else's.

And he's not done much since then, his last match was 2-3 years back I think so he'll be rusty even if he's "fit" to go.

Gunter is going to have to work hard to make it look like anything other than a farce.

I’d argue Goldberg’s best matches all came in WCW during 1998: his U.S. Title win over Raven, the iconic World Title victory against Hogan in front of 50,000 fans on Nitro, and his showdown with DDP at Halloween Havoc. That year was peak Goldberg.

Absolutely v DDP at HH '98 was his best ever match. He's always been very limited, like a WCW version of the Ultimate Warrior. Now it's just embarrassing.

Incredibly, within a year of that Undertaker match they had him win the World Title from The Fiend, in turn completely ruining any momentum that character had.

Quite absurd how that even happened thinking back on it.
  • That's some promo from Cena....Wow
  • That's some promo from Cena....Wow
First time for me that the heel persona has properly clicked. More of this please.
  • I'm not sure how much of a "pipe bomb" it really was though
  • The safest pipe bomb in history. Mentioned absolutely nothing controversial.

Safe and a bit boring, sounds like Cena's heel turn in a nutshell.
  • That's some promo from Cena....Wow
Superb stuff. Came on here to say the same thing. One of his best ever promos.

I assumed everyone would realise he was paraphrasing the original pipe bomb, seems not.
