Having Scott Minto and Charlotte Richardson on board makes Charlton TV  professional, with great banter between Brownie, Curbs and Liz with Scott who brings all his Sky experience to the show.

Really enjoyed the post semi final and final matches as so often over the recent seasons it was more of an inquest after the losses.
  • It would have been a miserable as **** post Wembley show if we had lost  :D
  • I watched the post final show yesterday (recovering from Covid) and thought it was brilliant. I think Scott is one of the most decent and highly professional individuals in our game. He excels wherever he goes and remains totally approachable. We are very lucky to have the likes of him, Charlotte, Curbs, Lis and Browny around.
It was very good and also free.

That’s why the whole season ticket immediate price hike rankles.

We do excellent things like CATV to build and engage with fans then on the other hand piss people off with a cash grab elsewhere.

    Anyway I digress.
  • One for our American viewers like @Callumcafc, but apparently you wont be able to watch any Championship games on iFollow this coming season, if its being shown on Paramount Plus?

Sounds a bit like the UK / SkySports type blackout

I believe that’s been the case for the past year e.g. I wasn’t able to watch the Stockport (A) game on Charlton TV this past season because it was on Paramount+.

I am expecting that it’s going to be a much more frequent occurrence now we’re in the top league of the EFL though.
  • NordVpn time? Good deal through the club

Charlton TV is incredibly important to those of us who are now expats, and the quality and presentation is brilliant. I miss the pre-game shows, for me it's the time to crack a beer and get excited for the game.

With the numbers that were at Wembley, compared to the numbers for the home games, there's a market for the service to be as it was prior to the changes last season. I hope the club revisit this.

My only gripe is that the full match replay isn't loaded onto the platform until days later.

If its just the subscribers that have access to the service, why not load it up for the following day? I pay to watch the games for the season, why can't I watch when it suits me?

I want to wake up, not see the result, and stick the game on. With the time zones being late night or early am hour game times for many of us, it's not possible to watch live.

Would there be a contractual issue (sky) for the club not being able to do this? I'd like to know the reasoning.
Really good point. If you reach the right person, you may even be able to get them to tweak this.

    Migrant, btw ;)

Might just be resourcing/time. It took a while even when we had the full show and matches. I don't know the details, but if the match file format needs converting to something the website can show, this could take a while for a HD stream depending on how they are doing it and how powerful the system converting the file is. The media team might have other priorities after the match, and feel that this can wait a few days.

I don't know the current contracts but it used to be the club owning the coverage (so can do what they like with it) but various contracts existed that gave the equivalent of first/only showings within so many hours/days, afterwhich it was in the club's hands.

    Hi Fen.
    Thanks for the feedback mate.
Even if they'd have to work things to get it loaded quicker, I'd like to have adequate resources thrown at it to make that happen. I'm not sure how or why it would take time, the show is obviously recorded, why not just load it on the platform/ app and have it on demand?
We pay a decent premium to the club for the service. The price did not change last season to reflect the loss of pre and post game analysis, so our return on value was impacted.
It's not to the value of a season ticket, but it's not peanuts ,so I'd like to see improvements across the service as they are doing in other areas of the club.

Making the relays more readily available within a day would be a  great improvement . The rest of the content we do is superb.

I agree with you. There are often times I miss a Saturday match and would like to watch the replay on the Sunday.
In all honesty I would pay a bit more for the season stream pass if we got the studio presentation back, I could deal with the delay if we had the whole build up and studio discussions around the match.

Ditto mate I would willingly pay more to have the full show back even up to normal ground season ticket prices
  • Pretty sure the price is set at £10 per match by the EFL and the clubs can't change it. Not sure about for season passes though
  • should be discounted for season ticket holders and home games should be free
  • should be discounted for season ticket holders and home games should be free
I’m intrigued!! In what world should this be
