I like it, looks quite retro. Having said that i think people seem to care way too much about what the new kit looks like.
    Retro?

I am guessing you have far fewer miles on the clock than I do, Singer... 🤣

I like it but agree with others that the cuffs should be white.

However, the announcement video being shared on Reebok's main social media channels is class. Global brand with millions of followers flaunting a Charlton shirt - quality.
Great time to be involved with them, they are trying to get back into basketball atm too. Theres good a netflix docu series about it at the moment with Shaq.

The hoody makes more sense now.  As in it has all three colours on it.

Solid first effort from Reebok. Looks a lot less like a T20 shirt in the proper pics.

Will wait for the away kit before deciding which one to get.

The black sleeves definitely look better when you see the shirt at that angle and can see the white parts under the arm.
I like it from this angle as you get a fair amount of black and white both visible on the sleeve but judging from the photos the black is going to stand out more which would be fine if the collar was black too.

Might have been better if the black and white had been swapped about. Not a bad shirt I guess beats a bland Castore shirt which looked the same for the last 3 years or so but I’ll likely give it a miss, probably more likely to buy an away/third shirt.

On a sidenote, have they said when the away/third kits will be announced?

I wonder if we're going to run with the red, white and black theme and that's the 3 main colours of the 3 kits...

Probably every few weeks to encourage multiple buys leading upto the season, gets return visitors to the pop up too.

Funny you should say that  ;)

You can’t win when it comes to kits. People are already moaning that this new one’s too busy, but I remember the clean, simple 15/16 shirt getting slammed for looking like a plain golf polo. What the fuck do people want then?

People don't like template kits, but the Adidas 1986 shirt I see people wearing repro versions of was a template worn by multiple teams.....

There's only so many times you can reinvent a red wheel, solid effort imo.

There is an in-between - this has the cuff/collar, weird red splodges, and stripes that for some reason cut off half way down the kit, white underarm bit, white on the side and the stripes down the arms and more red splodges - if your going to do stripes, fine, do stripes all along the front. why cut them off - it's like someone had 5 ideas and incorporated them all but then someone said 'ohh that looks a bit busy' so they decided to fade it off half way down the kit to make it more red. which actually makes the kit worse. designed by a committee and you can tell

I'd love a fully black third kit metallic gold details, like the one we had with Hummel but executed better, and a white based away kit that uses the purple and green from the 97/98 away.

Not a lot different from last season's shirt, add a few white lines, there you go ..  I like it, I am always against too radical a new look .. I now await the 'feel the cloth quality' test .. next, the away kit(s)

What appeals to them,  and not everyone shares the same taste. You can't surely expect universal approval of a design concept, especially a non beige and bold option like this one. I don't like it, but I can see that great effort has gone into making it distinctive, so I'm not knocking anyone for that.

Looks like one that people either really like or really don't. I'm in the former camp myself but I can see why it's not universally popular

Looks alright to me. 6/10. I never buy the red one anyway tbh. Makes you too much of a target for the feds.

Got plenty of ‘nonsense’ on it which is what the kids look for - I certainly did when I was a kid - so hopefully sells well

Exactly this. If you asked people for their favourite Charlton home kit of all time, i think you'd get a variety of different answers.

I would guess that in terms of away kits though, the blue and the silver Woolwich kits would definitely be amongst the most popular.

Not that I care but all of our kits look rubbish with three massive letters right on the front. That’s got to be the largest shirt sponsor I’ve ever seen.

Bang University Of Greenwich on the front and that’s a lovely kit.

Imagine how much busier it would look with two patterns, three colours and all that extra text. Would cover the same amount of space but much less cleanly

I think it looks fine.  I'm more interested in seeing the warm-up/training kits as I prefer someting without the sponsor name on it.

Yeah you might be right there, I just don’t like the huge block of white that’s created by the RSK logo. At least with other sponsors it’s less in your face.
