    Better Referee than most.
Seemed to Ref with a smile on his face.
    65 is no age.

I liked him. He always gave us a fair crack of the whip; which is more than can be said for a couple of them.

An excellent former ref, so sad to hear of this news, far too young. RIP Uriah!

This is very sad news and sounds like he's had a really hard time if it over the last few years. A trailblazer for sure though RIP

Have to say I thought he was an awful ref though! Bit of a show off with his "tough guy" persona.

RIP, he was a proper old school ref, but always had the respect of the players(bar Shearer).

Yes, old school and seemed to have the players respect.

In his prime he was the fittest ref going.
He was a tall man who had a black belt in two marshal arts and he would  jump in between players like a boxing ref. Grabbing Roy Keene when it looked like there was going to be a coming together between Keene and Jason McAteer.

His body was debilitated by a virus and he went from super fit to a wheelchair.
