Well deserved too in my opinion.
He has come a long long way since getting sent off against the Argies in 1998.
A very good footballer in his time, he's been a great ambassador for his country on and off the pitch and does a huge amount of charity work.
He's a bit of a legend in my eyes tbh.16 -
What does Sol have to say about it?15

Charles must have forgiven him for calling them 'old unappreciative c****s'.0

"Lady" Beckham will be in her element now, even more pompous and insufferable...🤦♂️6

Well deserved and as @JohnBoyUK says Beckham has come a long way since that '98 red card.1

I thought about knighted footballers only yesterday when I saw a picture of Sir Alistair Cook. I’m not a big fan of the honours system and I like Cook, but seeing the time lag for a working class footballer to be knighted compared to that for a posher (no pun intended) cricketer is quite telling2

Let's hope they do the right thing and finally give the most deserving of sports (and life) legends what he deserves - arise Sir Kevin Sinfield.15 - Sponsored links:

Only one from that era, bar maybe Ashley Cole to actually show up in an England shirt. Model professional and changed how we view footballers.0

UNICEF to start with.
In 2015, he launched the 7 Fund to combat issues like violence, child marriage and lack of education, benefiting over a million children.
Beckham has led global vaccination campaigns and visited countries such as Indonesia and India to support anti-bullying initiatives and empower girls.
He co-founded the Victoria and David Beckham Children's Charity, providing resources for disabled children, and supports Malaria No More.
In 2013, he donated his entire PSG salary to children's charities.16 -

I think David Beckham got a stupidly harsh time for that red, referees the world over are letting that go, same applies to Rooney in 2006, that was never deliberate, if it was he styled it really well. Besides Carvhalllo should have at least got booked for going straight through the back of him.
Anyway, arise Sir David. Bet he wished he did more shagging back in the day before having his life taken over by the woman he chose to settle down with (the media as much as her choreography of it)
Thoroughly deserved, I would have disappeared off into the ether once I'd retired if I was him1 -
Well deserved and I imagine it’s a real honour for him. Loved his comments about his grandparents when the queen passed. There was always a rumour that his dad was Charlton. Never confirmed or denied to my knowledge.
