Peterborough have announced the signing of Kyrell Lisbie - He's had quite the rise back up the pyramid given he scored Cray Valley's penalty against us two years ago.
I think that was his twin brother Kyrell
Is this where I write “so called twin”?   🤷🏻‍♂️

No chance of us getting Kone imo. Personally not keen anyway, absolute little prick in those semi final games and has been found out against teams that can defend.
Personally would love Kone, 21, runs the channels, hardworking, a nightmare to defend against and would fit into jones’ team ethos. Reminds me of Lyle Taylor - absolute bastard to play against. I do agree, however, no chance of us getting him, have a feeling he’ll be going to a top championship club or a lower prem club that might want to take a gamble.
Absolutely no chance a prem team takes him. The only team that bid for him was a shit Luton side and that was before he scored 2 in 20 games or whatever his record was in the 2nd half of the season.

This is going to be a bit of a bizarre comment.
Not a player suggestion but how about this….Nathan Jones to Cardiff and Lee Bowyer to us?
    Worth a punt? 🫤
And you can f*** right off...

Agree - he looked pony against us.  Wycombe cocked up big time not accepting that offer.

The Lincoln keeper rumour was mentioned on here early on.

NJ whole keeper strategy last year was sign an experienced No.1 would be a bit odd to suddenly change to go for a younger keeper with 1 full professional season and has been good but not like he’s been a world beater and why would Lincoln sell if he’s got 3 years left. Potentially have A.Mitchell going the other way but would seem strange
Wickens signed a four year contract with Lincoln in July last year, so, he'd probably cost a fair bit .. for me, I'd prefer an older, more experienced keeper, though Wickens is a good un

Some of the Lincoln fans think he’s a very average keeper, good on his day but lacks consistency. Based on the reviews hope it doesn’t happen especially when you have keepers like Woodman, Gunn, Virginia available on a free

Pereira out of contract perhaps higher rated than Wickens.

Thought Wickens looked very good when they played us at The Valley.

I forget which goalkeeper but one someone this year played a very noticeable sweeper keeper against us, good with his feet and was able to bypass the press don't remember who it was mind.

Anybody fancy cauley Woodrow as a berry rotation option punt?

Ryan Hardie down at Argyle? Think a year left on his contract, has shown can do it at championship level and might be keen move on after their managers left and relegation?

We had ( was it 27) clean sheets this season and people think we need a better keeper - I don’t think that is the place to start

I like Mannion but some of the goals he’s conceded worries me. His attempt to save the first goal at Wrexham springs to mind.

On the contrary, in my opinion, with our play style of build from the back Into the channels a keeper with better kicking able to start those attacks or give us more variety than gillesphey would be a plus. The point of highlighting a sweeper as a bonus is the case specifically because we conceded so little ( primarily because of our defence )

Wouldn’t be opposed to Hakeem Odoffin. Wasn’t interested in renewing his contract at Rotherham. Clearly one of their better players in both the Championship and League One. 50+ appearances in the Scottish Prem as well.

This is the championship. Different kettle of fish. We don’t have a no1 at the club, it will be a priority for the recruitment team I’m sure.

Why do people do this? We've just had a fantastic season, crowned with a great day out at Wembley, and some one feels the need to pi55 in our chips...

Sometimes rather than the club not deserving their supporters, the supporters don't deserve their club...

Alternatively you could argue Mannion has only faced 82 shots this season with over a 1/4 of those being outside the box, he’s hardly had anything to save this year. We have no clue if he can make the step up which is why we need to prepared if he can’t with a proven championship keeper

Another very good league1 free agent with the ability to step up.

Corr, we can build a proper league 1 super team based on free agents.

Stay up, or win league1 next season with a points record

    (I'm partly joking 😉)

NJ also won't want AMB as cover. It makes sense to improve on Mannion, rather than attempt to bring in better cover than AMB.

I’m a big fan of stats, but they can be construed in any way. He’s been a big part of the fact he’s only faced 82 shots. He’s marshalled the defence very well and been excellent at collecting crosses and not letting shots drop for rebounds.

I suspect we’ll be in for a keeper but would have no problems with Mannion being in the starting line up come the first game of the season.

AMB played 19 league games and must have had a few of those clean sheets , don’t forget .  Mannion has a lot of positive attributes - I don’t think anyone is disputing that.  Most are saying that we need another keeper to compete with him, which seems sensible.

Based on the shot stopping stats he’s a slightly below average shot stopper. Over the last 3 seasons he’s conceded 62 goals from an expected goals on target faced of 57.2. So he’s conceded 5 goals more than the average goal keeper would expect to from those shots

27 clean sheets is great and he’s done well, but even just looking at the last 3 there were only 3 shots on target across the 3 games. In the championship we could be conceding that many a half.

In league 1 it’s hard to attract a GK that is good at more than 1 or 2 parts of keeping. I think now we are in the championship we should be able to find someone with similar command of area to Mannion but also better shot-stopping as we are going to need that part a lot more next year
