Be interesting to see who we are in for, the Mulligan one seems to fit in with shopping over the border for the likes of Edwards.

Amari'i Bell, as others mentioned, would seem to be another angle of going for previous players Jones has worked with and covers left side of defense.

Imagine we will have to box clever if getting any Championship players.  Central midfield and attack obviously need boosting.  Wondered if someone like Adam Randell at Plymouth would be someone we'd look at in midfield who might be a possible now they've been relegated.  And Sam Greenwood, on loan at Preston and Boro from Leeds last few seasons, but seemingly former not taking up buying option and with Leeds promotion imagine be available.  Would both seem to be young players with Championship experience who might be possible options.

Exciting times for once anyway!  Look forward to refreshing this thread a million times between now and September!

I found it interesting yesterday that my stepdad highlighted Mannion. 

He's a Norwich City season ticket holder and he was asking how many players he thinks we will keep and said "for instance I wonder if you'll keep that keeper of yours Mannion, he's better than anyone we have at Norwich so I imagine he will have championship interest."

He watched all 3 play-off games rooting for us and Mannion really impressed him. 

I rate him as keeper, best we have had in years!

Let's see what the owners have this window.. Personally, I think we need 5 or 6 good signings.. Certainly need to strengthen in the middle of the park, and the top of the pitch.. Not to worried about the Keeper. WM is good enough for the championship and the way we play!  

I think we’ll go for a new GK. Mannion has been well protected, especially in recent games. I think there’s still question marks over how good his shot stopping is. 

If we are in for a keeper and also looking north of the border, Mitov has had a decent season, capped by the cup win at the weekend.

Did we not sell Mitov a few years ago ?

Hope I’ve expressed myself clearly…..we are now a Championship team…..so let’s endeavour to attract a few household names.

Of course fans on a forum will mention players that they have seen.

But fans don't do the recruitment, Phil Chapple and Nathan Jones do and they will be aware of players at all levels and in this country and abroad.

As for "household names" I doubt very much we'll see any of them until we reach the premier league again.

Honestly I don't see there being many "household" names necessarily but I do agree that more proven players are needed. Players like Mulligan (whether or not he really is a specific target) will probably be the majority - 
Not that well known by most casual fans but well regarded by those who HAVE heard of him (as opposed to L1/L2 "prospects", though Ramsay does prove that market isn't a complete no-go.)

To put it politely, what the hell are you smoking? 

There have been murmurings re Jones to Cardiff….that’s one part of the equation.
Secondly, Bow has been spotted at The Valley and even away games a fair few times of late, hobnobbing with some pretty high flyers into the bargain.
Understand some of you thinking it’s unlikely but stranger things can and indeed have happened in the world of football on a regular basis.

Personally would love Kone, 21, runs the channels, hardworking, a nightmare to defend against and would fit into jones’ team ethos. Reminds me of Lyle Taylor - absolute bastard to play against.
