Which Away days are you most looking forward to?

I know the boss made a thread about new ground ticks, but which away days are you most excited for?

For me

Millwall - no explanation needed

Pompey - 3 points, & always a good atmosphere

Norwich - on my door step

Both Sheffield clubs- big clubs, great City night life

Swansea - good mate is Swansea, promised me a bar with all of Swans finest over 50s

Norwich and Southampton, both grounds that I have annoyingly missed out on. Will make a weekend of Norwich if it falls correctly.

It'll be nice to return to Leicester again.

Seeing all the Norwich comments... and people saying they will make a weekend of it...

...I run off-beat theatrical walking tours of Norwich. I'll set one up for the Fri night before the match and end at a pub... (assuming we play on a Saturday!)

... and given that we're more than likely to have at least one away game shifted to a Saturday lunchtime kick off maybe have a Norfolk Addicks gathering at the Murderers to watch the game? If we're really generous we could extend the invite to the poor unfortunates living the wrong side of the Waveney ;)

There was one a few years ago but I missed that for some reason.

Norwich for me as it's a 20 minute walk. I have lived in this city for 37 years now.

Would love to get Swansea away in August when weather is nice and kids are off school to make a proper weekend of it.

Bristol, Leicester, Oxford, Pompey, Southampton, Norwich and Wednesday I like the look of but won't go to all.

Hull, Stoke, Blackburn, Middlesbrough, Derby and Coventry I have never been to (don't really want to but will try to knock a few off I think).

Swansea/Hull - two new grounds for me

QPR - Boat journey down the Thames is always a fun one

Missed Wrexham this season and with a lot of people having wanted to go to that this year to tick it off, won’t be as popular I don’t think, so hopefully if the fixture list is kind, that will be my only new one to tick off

other than that, in 2 minds about Millwall.  Went there in 2019 and the last minute header, but we are (hopefully) going to beat them at some point, so would be good to be there

other than Wrexham I’m unlikely to be able to negotiate any other away games, (I’ve just about hung onto my season ticket 😂).  If I had to pick, I’d go for Watford as I haven’t been there since we played them in the league cup in 2001 (I think), and my more recent away trips other than new grounds, have all been grounds I’d had a big gap in visiting

Probably the Sheffield clubs. I really like that city and would never have visited were it not for following Charlton (being a fan that goes to away matches is an underrated way of improving your geography!).

Knowing my luck when the fixtures are announced they’ll both be Tuesday nights in January or something!

I’ll do the Millwall and QPR ones (via the tube) and then see which games are doable after that, SKY and the railways permitting, ie not fucking it up so that getting there and getting home afterwards isn’t made nigh on impossible.

As it stands, want to do Pompey, Saints, Watford, Oxford, Ipswich, Norwich, Sheff Wed, Bristol City and the midlands based ones so basically at least half of those won’t be 3pm Saturday games so the practicality factor will play a big part.

Millwall for obvious reasons  (we have to win there eventually)
QPR because it's  a London Derby.
Pompey and Southampton always a good day out.
Wrexham and Swansea as they are the only two new grounds for me.

Millwall - we're going to win there this year!

Watford - 10 mins from me

Derby - not been to Pride Park and easy to get to from the in-laws

Norwich/Ipswich - not done either and want to tick off the list

Allowing for the fact I'll be in the country for probably only two fixtures, I'd be delighted with Birmingham and Wednesday.
