The Lincoln keeper rumour was mentioned on here early on.

Speaking of Barry Fry, saw him along Wembley Way pre-match on Sunday. Probably the only famous non-CAFC person I saw.995632 said:

Wouldn't mind him as an option from the bench. He does have lightning pace and we just don't have quick players, can't teach God given pace.MarcusH26 said:Would be disappointed if we went for Jade-Jones , just seems to have pace and not much else.
He's at a better level than almost all of our other forwards except TC and Godden. Hard to say on Leaburn cause of the injuries.
Would be a sensible singing imo. One that could improve and has a high ceiling, only 22. 11 goals and 4 assists from centre forward. Same goals as TC.
"Jones has allowed his contract to run down and can be signed as a free agent next month, although Posh will still expect to receive a hefty compensation fee for a local lad who joined the club aged nine.Posh director of football Barry Fry told the PT on Friday: “Ricky will have plenty of options. Several top clubs will see a chance to develop an exciting talent further. I’m told there has been interest from overseas clubs, although I’m not sure Ricky will fancy that.”

NJ whole keeper strategy last year was sign an experienced No.1 would be a bit odd to suddenly change to go for a younger keeper with 1 full professional season and has been good but not like he’s been a world beater and why would Lincoln sell if he’s got 3 years left. Potentially have A.Mitchell going the other way but would seem strangeHenry Irving said:The Lincoln keeper rumour was mentioned on here early on.0 -
I think the plan is to have him back in time to get clogged by some thug at Welling.BigRedEvil said:Anyone know when Leaburn is back training? Would be nice if he could get a full pre season to get fit as I still think he has all the ability to do a job in the Championship5 -
Anybody know if Peter Varney was there on Sunday ? I’ve not seen any pictures of him.1
-
Lewis Wing signed a new deal with Reading last week , as good a player as he is that probably rules him out.3

Not quite, we were after Hein too who isn’t a mega experienced keeper. He just wanted someone better. If that’s still the case is yet to be seenCrispywood said:

Hein was our very last option though we tried Ruddy, Begovic, Davies even Sinasalo who was quite young had already played a large number of games before himfenaddick said:

Can always loan a player to them to soften the blow toosam3110 said:I still think Neufville is well worth a look. Seemed to be a level above at AFCW last season, got promoted with them but I reckon he is in with a chance of making the step to Championship football. 24 so should be coming into his own, and similarly to Small can play wingback or on the wing depending on formation0 -

Would still be pleased if we brought in an experienced senior GK but in the last year I think Mannion has improved perhaps enough to convince Jones that he’s good enough to be No 1 at a Championship club. I’m not at all sure that’s the case with AMB who we would need to rely on if Mannion got an injury. On that basis I still think we need to bring in a GK who is at least as good if not better than Mannion.3
-
Our defence has been brilliant, we faced 3 shots on target over the 3 play off games. Yes, Mannion was brilliant in the final at claiming crosses, but in the championship our defence will be breached a lot more often and Mannion hasn’t shown that he’s good enough at shot stopping for the level above.ShootersHillGuru said:Would still be pleased if we brought in an experienced senior GK but in the last year I think Mannion has improved perhaps enough to convince Jones that he’s good enough to be No 1 at a Championship club. It will probably be a case of Jones saying the new keeper and Mannion are both competing for the shirt in pre-season but I think the intention will definitely be to move AMB on and sign an upgrade on Mannion15 -

All will be richer in £ for the clubs they chose ahead of us, but they barely played a game between them. I wonder if any watched our Wembley game and wondered "what if".3 -

Sonny Carey - Attacking mid, 6 foot plus, can take a player on, knows where the net is. Bit inconsistent but better than all our midfield options bar one imo.
Sean Roughan - Started all 46 games for Lincoln last season and played over 4000 minutes of football. Can play left back or left centre back. Good competition for Edwards and Macca
Ricardo Santos - good ball playing centre back, absolute unit and bullies strikers. Off season but I'd trust Jonesy to sort him out. Good competition for Lloydy and could honestly work his way into our starting XI if he found his form from 2 seasons ago.
Paudie O'Connor - Very similar to Jonesy in stature. Threat from set pieces, 3 goals and 5 assists. Doesn't lose many headers. Lloyd Jones the only better pure defender than him this season statistically. Could be good option when we are up against it.
Nathan Baxter - Lost his way a bit, but ex-Chelsea and a good shot stopper. If we can't afford the wages of an older no.1, Baxter and Mannion would be a decent duo to pick from imo.
I'd be happy with any/all of those.
I know we are the league above, but all have proven they can perform at a top league1 level and would all be sensible wages.
Apparently O'Connor has had championship interest, Santos does, Baxter is being linked with Watford as a back up goalie, and I think Carey hasn't signed with Blackpool yet as he's hoping for a move.
Carey will do for me, right age and will progress
Roughan .. I mentioned him and O'Connor up the page, both are excellent defenders, BUT I suspect they would both want regular first team games, something not guaranteed with us .. of the 2 ?, Roughan for me
Baxter, ok, BUT no better than Mannion
Santos, slower on the turn than an oil tanker nowadays, but great when facing attackers, good in the air, again would want 1st team games .. not for me

No chance of us getting Kone imo. Personally not keen anyway, absolute little prick in those semi final games and has been found out against teams that can defend.9
-
I wonder if we'll look outside of the domestic market for a striker to try and find better " value". Could be an interesting route to look to Europe for.8

I think it unlikely we sign another young GK with Tommy Reid having signed. He was on our bench several times this season and is apparently training with the first team.
England youth international.I think we are more likely to bring in an experienced keeper to help bring on the youngsters.0 -
We might bring a young GK in for the u21 squad if we release MacLorg, but I think that would be separate to signing a new first choice. It’s a good point above that Jones probably won’t want AMB as one of our two first team GKs.Redrobo said:I think it unlikely we sign another young GK with Tommy Reid having signed.
