Strange, so this section for 16-20 year olds suggested & promoted by C.A.S.T is not taken up by the people it was intended for.Er_Be_Ab_Pl_Wo_Wo_Ch said:Nineteen of those 16-20 tickets are still unsold. It doesn't help that visitors to the ticket website can't see them.
How many of these seats were occupied by 16-20 season ticket holders & if they were why haven't they been taken up for this match?
Most 16-20 year olds would want to be where it's exciting, not stuck in the corner by themselves.
I stopped standing with my dad & went to The Covered End when I was 12.4 -

What’s not to like. I absolutely love it when it’s a full away end. And even better when it’s a packed out valley (I don’t care if they’ve been going 50 years or if it’s their first visit or even if it’s that they’re tourists. The Home leg against Doncaster… Highly emotional stuff . Of course it all falls flat on its face if we lose….4

Only remaining hospitality are the 3 boxes in the Curbs stand.
Fourteen of those tickets in NWC for 16-20 year olds remain.
All Valley Express routes have availability except Ramsgate.
Hopefully today some Wycombe people and Charlton people make a decision about the JS being opened up for home supporters.2 -

I kind of agree but even IF we go up it will be the same old same old there every week. I do hope I’m wrong but we’re in League one for a reason because the team wasn’t good enough. Throwing money at the manager wasn’t the answer it never will be. It takes time to build hopefully we will now bit still don’t think we will achieve much bigger crowds. I don’t think its ever been an issue of are there fans out there that would come to games, or probably have for occasional matches, I suspect it’s more a question of over the years the club, owners and players have often seemed to have gone out of their way to discourage those fans to come along, or come back. Despite that, as SCP, Bowyer and Nathan have shown, if you build it (in this case a team that can and does win) they will come. Let’s hope these owners take their backing a bit further than the previous ones if Nathan succeeds.Brown59 said:It’s amazing how many supporters we have(well for this week anyway)
I never knew we had so many. I expect to see them all next season supporting the club like they are this week. 😂😂1 -

Wycombe will have a good idea on how many are likely to attend after today's result. They win and will want 2000+? They lose and 1000 max required.0 -
Correction. Birmingham went straight back up by spending unprecedented obscene amounts of money for league 1 breaking all kinds of records including £15m for one player.ElfsborgAddick said:

I wouldn't want us to do that in any world. There's being among the top spenders in the league on both wage budget and transfers and then there's being that far out on front. It ruins it for me personally. And only stores up financial problems for the future when the funds dry up.15 -
Agreed. Some seasons you can have a good idea of who could end up winning or auto position. But this season was boring as was always going to be Birmingham. No scenario, after spending that hideous amount of money, finished with them not winning league.cantersaddick said:

I’d love us to spend massive and smash the leagues up winning 4-0 every week and going on to world domination of football .stoneroses19 said:

Although if any club could spend massive and balls it up, I’m sure we could give it a go !6 -
The numbers for the home leg have surprised me , really good to see us shifting that amount .
Let’s hope I’m moaning about how poor our crowds are after the feel good factor of Championship football for 5 years has worn off and our crowds naturally dwindle back to 13-14k home fans1 -

There is still a generation out there who remember our premiership days, they stay away in the main but a big game like the play off semi final draws them back. The job is to convince them to come again, I don't blame anyone for staying away after what's been served up on the pitch for the last five years.oohaahmortimer said:The numbers for the home leg have surprised me , really good to see us shifting that amount .

I first went to the valley in 1963 and have followed the addicks ever since including plenty of away games. I stopped going the last 2years as the football was shite. Karl Robinson was the start of the demise of exciting football with the side to side boring stuff. I’m a pensioner now and live in Brighton so to pay out for a ticket and train fare is a big hole in my budget. Why am I going to go without a few dinners sometimes to watch boring games? I don’t like losing but that’s part of football and as long as I’ve enjoyed it it’s worth it to me. Im 70 now and love CAFC it’s been part of my life for 62 years. I got the bug again in November and seen improvement game after game. So yes us oldies will be back if the football is good.37

I wonder whether that result and the prospect of a very noisy Valley, effectively to the levels of more than ten times what they had to listen to today, and the later midweek kick off will have dissuaded Wycombe fans from attending the second leg on Thursday night ? The return of a chunk of those 3 thousand tickets they were allocated would probably be appreciated by those Charlton fans that missed out on getting a ticket when they were on sale last week0

Mad that we got less than 15,000 for the first play off leg in 2018 but now we could’ve sold double that. The core support is there still.4

I reckon the mood was quite different that season though. We sort of limped into the playoffs in the end, not exactly in great form — we finished on 71 points.
We looked alright in the first half against Shrewsbury, but once they scored, that was pretty much it. We were dreadful in the second leg, barely created a thing, and it all fizzled out in fairly miserable fashion.
The following season though? Oh boy…

Totally agree - been coming to Charlton since 1960s and season ticket holders for many years. However didn't renew season tickets during Roland Out Campaign on principle (my principle!) . Have bought the for next season though. In between like many of us have had family/personal 'problems'/reasons which have meant non attendance. We are coming on Thursday.RaplhMilne said:
From 11 - 30 years of age always at home games and a lot of aways. 30 - 50 most homes usual season ticket. 50-60 a lot of homes, occasional away.. 60 to 67 more occasional been 4 games this year, will be there Thursday.Brown59 said:
You don’t support a side just because they’re doing well that’s rubbish . It’s through the bad and tough times you need support not glory support just because they’re doing well. If we do go up as you say the support will go up yes at first but if they start slipping and have bad results you will see the support dwindling again that’s for certain.stoneroses19 said:
If we go up this season, then next seasons home attendances will increase. That will happen.Brown59 said:

I never knew we had so many. I expect to see them all next season supporting the club like they are this week. 😂😂Nonsense to say "same old same old". Our fans have already shown this season that if the team perform well on the pitch that the support in number improves at The Valley.Your life changes, and the most important thing in it ceases to be the next game. Charlton til I die, but age for a lot of us reduces the desire and need to be there.A promise you from 11 to 30 was hardly a glory period, I watched complete shit, in crowds under 5,000. At Selhurst an Upton Park, was at away games when anything outside London meant about 200 max.
Dont knock the support / fans it’s a personal thing, an people have their own story.
Does that make me an inferior supporter?
On the other hand I took an active part in Roland Out Campaign and have supported Valley Gold for many years.
Does that make me a superior supporter?
The answer to both these questions is no.9 -

Good spot - the hospitality tickets are listed on the website, but when you click through they can't be purchased. So that tweet is to be taken literally - to book, email them.shirty5 said:
