Yes, I’ve just done it and although it’s greyed out on the map and says not available the right hand option with the photo of seat view appears and there are at least a dozen seats availablehawksmoor said:

The potential to fill the ground each week remains 100% there but unrealistic to expect it when languishing in league one’s mid table as we were last season and a part of this. I think our ‘die hard’ base has increased since Duchatalet’s departure and it feels like it has definitely improved this second half season which in isolation has shown us as a promotion winning outfit. Come Wembley, we will sell out our allocation with ease. The plus 2,3,4 family members alone should do it. Hope we get there to prove it!Brown59 said:It’s amazing how many supporters we have(well for this week anyway)
I never knew we had so many. I expect to see them all next season supporting the club like they are this week. 😂😂2 -
I don’t think its ever been an issue of are there fans out there that would come to games, or probably have for occasional matches, I suspect it’s more a question of over the years the club, owners and players have often seemed to have gone out of their way to discourage those fans to come along, or come back. Despite that, as SCP, Bowyer and Nathan have shown, if you build it (in this case a team that can and does win) they will come. Let’s hope these owners take their backing a bit further than the previous ones if Nathan succeeds.Brown59 said:It’s amazing how many supporters we have(well for this week anyway)

I kind of agree but even IF we go up it will be the same old same old there every week. I do hope I’m wrong but we’re in League one for a reason because the team wasn’t good enough. Throwing money at the manager wasn’t the answer it never will be. It takes time to build hopefully we will now bit still don’t think we will achieve much bigger crowds. Come on you reds.letthegoodtimesroll said:

You don’t support a side just because they’re doing well that’s rubbish . It’s through the bad and tough times you need support not glory support just because they’re doing well. If we do go up as you say the support will go up yes at first but if they start slipping and have bad results you will see the support dwindling again that’s for certain.stoneroses19 said:

So, just to be clear, if we go up you would be happier if our attendances DON'T increase, would you? Because presumably you'd prefer that than for the "glory support" to show up.
Because supporting Charlton is all about the glory ........10 -

Seconded 100% not wishing to be controversial but there is an element that keep suggesting that unless you attend every game you are not a proper supporter. People that support from a distance are just as committed in terms of emotional stuff and the financial commitment is by far more than getting to games from the local area. Sometimes for some of us life gets in the way but that doesn’t mean we love our club any lessKBslittlesis said:

How many of these seats were occupied by 16-20 season ticket holders & if they were why haven't they been taken up for this match?
Most 16-20 year olds would want to be where it's exciting, not stuck in the corner by themselves.

Now to plan the journey down from Stockport, in the car, with the return journey straight after the game.
Where is a good place to park the car about 10-15 mins walk from the valley? First time I've ever driven down to it
You will really feel the lactic on your way back to the car.If you can get there early, the roads off Victoria Way are better.
Looking at the map I think this is where my dad and I used to park years ago when I was a kid.
So it should be familiar1 -

My father in law being in palliative care meant I haven't been since.
You can 100% blame me 😫😫😫😫😫3 -
From 11 - 30 years of age always at home games and a lot of aways. 30 - 50 most homes usual season ticket. 50-60 a lot of homes, occasional away.. 60 to 67 more occasional been 4 games this year, will be there Thursday.Brown59 said:
You don’t support a side just because they’re doing well that’s rubbish . It’s through the bad and tough times you need support not glory support just because they’re doing well. If we do go up as you say the support will go up yes at first but if they start slipping and have bad results you will see the support dwindling again that’s for certain.stoneroses19 said:
If we go up this season, then next seasons home attendances will increase. That will happen.Brown59 said:
I kind of agree but even IF we go up it will be the same old same old there every week. I do hope I’m wrong but we’re in League one for a reason because the team wasn’t good enough. Throwing money at the manager wasn’t the answer it never will be. It takes time to build hopefully we will now bit still don’t think we will achieve much bigger crowds. Come on you reds.letthegoodtimesroll said:
I don’t think its ever been an issue of are there fans out there that would come to games, or probably have for occasional matches, I suspect it’s more a question of over the years the club, owners and players have often seemed to have gone out of their way to discourage those fans to come along, or come back. Despite that, as SCP, Bowyer and Nathan have shown, if you build it (in this case a team that can and does win) they will come. Let’s hope these owners take their backing a bit further than the previous ones if Nathan succeeds.Brown59 said:It’s amazing how many supporters we have(well for this week anyway)
I never knew we had so many. I expect to see them all next season supporting the club like they are this week. 😂😂Nonsense to say "same old same old". Our fans have already shown this season that if the team perform well on the pitch that the support in number improves at The Valley.Your life changes, and the most important thing in it ceases to be the next game. Charlton til I die, but age for a lot of us reduces the desire and need to be there.A promise you from 11 to 30 was hardly a glory period, I watched complete shit, in crowds under 5,000. At Selhurst an Upton Park, was at away games when anything outside London meant about 200 max.
Dont knock the support / fans it’s a personal thing, an people have their own story.21 -
Yeah same feeling here. Usually for the big games I bring along a whole host of stragglers. Father in law, brother in law, cousin, various mates. Haven't even offered it to them this time. Just sorted myself and usual lot. The part time fans/"it's my second team fans" can miss out.AFKABartram said:Genuinely feel we could have sold 30k+ for this game
If there was space I'd have probably brought 10 along with me.3
