299 for an adult in League 2, mine renewed this week was 325 for League 1 and a small shot at being for Championship football next season.shine166 said:Bradford are 299 for an adult, so not exactly giving them away like people are making out. Very cheap though, admittedly and I'd buy one today if we had the same pricing.
Is it really better value?1 -

Yeah most clubs get the lower tier these days. Obviously the likes of Leeds won’t but I could even see that changing over the next few seasons.Woodwork said:
They do allow some clubs to use the lower tier. Millwall’s highest gate this season was 18,385 v Sunderland. A home sell-out, plus 3,000 Sunderland fans. Which is still not all the seats, but there is some segregation at most grounds tbf. I think the top tier allows an allocation of 2,000 odd, with most bringing less than that. So not losing money as such, only for the likes of Leeds maybe, as they would bring 4,000, but are restricted to 2,000.kafka said:
What about all the empty seats in the parts of the ground that are never open? Millwall must be losing so much money from not selling these. I know these are in the away stand, but why build a stadium with seats that can't be sold?MillwallFan said:
Yes they are. We wouldn’t give away that many comps because we just don’t have that many spare seats. Even if we’re only getting 15k home fans at a game there will only be a spare couple of thousand seats in the home ends tops. Probably less.Airman Brown said:

All clubs will have some freebies. And I think all clubs include season ticket holders who don't turn up, so I don't think our numbers are that distorted when compared to other clubs.AFKABartram said:Our figures are meaningless as they are simply not accurate and padded with freebies. Whether all other clubs do the same I don’t know, but I doubt to the extent of difference between our announced figures and attending and purchasing spectators. As mentioned Charlton would have over 12k empty home seats this season and are well known to give out a hell of a lot of comps because of it. (Wasn’t there a load of freebies sitting on a bar in a local pub somewhere a couple of seasons ago? )We had 11 sell outs last season. We haven’t done quite as well this season but we still not in a position to give out thousands of comps every game.Sorry to butt in @MillwallFan - but surrounded by Lions fans in my family (other half, maternal granddad, uncles & cousins) 😭
I know they’ve had a few ‘sell-outs’ of 16-17,000, which is a bit stupid, as you say.

I'd go further than that.stonemuse said:
Be good if we are allowed back in lower tier when we play you next season 😀MillwallFan said:

Give us the Dockers stand as well.3 -
If they want a stadium that reflected their history they should fuck off back to the Isle of Dogs and build one there.YTS1978 said:

Is there any value would you think in offering something like the equivalent of a half season ticket but as more of a "credit" for the whole season that gets you a cheaper rate (but no reserved seat) so like eleven home games for the price of ten or something?
Surely anything that gets a lump sum paid up front is preferred by the club?2 -
It's not even an FAPL thing. Similar story at Man U in 1990. I know because the two guys who did the Valley Party posters were big authentic Man U fans. Easily ready and willing to buy seasons despite living in London. On a wait list for years. When we went up there in fancy dress for the final game, two days after the election, Dave made a point of going but he had more trouble getting a ticket than I did. Their capacity then was 47k if I recall right.Braziliance said:
That's such an insane stat.Chris_from_Sidcup said:At least people can get a ST. At Liverpool there's people who've been on their waiting list for 25 years and they haven't even reopened the list to add new people since 2011.
Have we ever had a waiting list? And if so how long was it?0 -
Those are the prices for Covered End Lower - looks pretty popular to me.shine166 said:
If our 325 seats were popular, they wouldn't be 325IanJRO said:£299 in Bradford vs just renewed for £325 in London at a club in the league above. I don’t think the price of tickets is the main issue. It’s more that we have stagnated in League One and up until recently it’s been pretty dire to watch.I agree over £600 for highest price ticket is crazy but no one has to pay that as there are plenty of other seats to choose from.Simplifying to say £500 cap for most expensive season ticket and £25 per match ticket for anywhere in the ground might help but you’d like to think that someone at the club models these things to project revenue implications.0 -
What was the crowd yesterday by the way?0

Funny enough, Millwall did look at being part of the regeneration of docklands London in the 1980s when looking at upgrading The Den, if I remember correctly.letthegoodtimesroll said:

This, those 6 extra points would have made all the difference…DOUCHER said:i was hoping millwall fan would be on here to wish us all the best0 -
It is probably why I am more in the despise Palace camp of Charlton fans. Something the whole family can bond over. My maternal grandad did have a soft spot for Charlton, as was from the generation that went to both & his best mate was Charlton.
