Well that turned out better than it looked after 15 minutes.
As usual with a big, expectant crowd on a special occasion Charlton provided one of those f*** up moments that only Charlton can provide with Mitchell contributing to the penalty that AMB had to concede.
That threatened to suck the jam out of our doughnut but since then Burton have done very little and Matty Goddrn is King of The Valley with his brace. Mitchell managed to raise his player rating off the floor with a good bit of skill in the build-up to the Sniper's equaliser.
Since we got back level we've been in charge so as long as Mitchell doesn't stuff up again (or anyone else take his place on the naughty step) we should be able to see this one through without any dramas.
I'd give Godden 15 minutes to get his hat-trick and then I'd start taking the big names off and give the supporting cast some time in the limelight in preparation for the next two weeks.2 -
Gilbert seems more like a no 10 than Berry in terms of his link play and controlling the pace of the game. Berry is more of a goal threat but good to see Gilbert impressing today.2

Lovely sunny day. Nice passing and movement from us. Godden on fire. Think the replacements have been OK. Gilbert has played some great attacking balls an Mitchell has grown into the game after a prolonged absence. Happy with that.1
