Thanks, Lancs. Can’t complain I know as didn’t get round to doing my scores. Shocked to see Ramsay third and Coventry fourth though. Both were v poor imo. But we do love to scapegoat our own youth.
Forgive me for sounding pissed off - still trying to shake yesterday off.
What a difference 5 days make ! Against Wycombe, TC had the lowest mark with 6.93 and yet when the scriptwriters had CAFC play 2nd fiddle as extras to Wrexham, Josh Edwards is top with 6.78 !
The high marks were fair against Wycombe and the lower marks are fair against Wrexham.
Kanu needed the 30 minute run out after the two injuries has impacted his last 4 months and MBick is an 18 year old who is trying to adapt to men's football.
Anderson found it difficult as he is still trying to establish himself and it has to be said does need a better 1st touch in most matches I've watched him despite playing well for the 70 odd minutes against Wycombe. Docherty's mark was a little higher but still only 5.13 as Rathbone, James and Dobson won the midfield battle.
TC had the same problem that Thierry had against Lincoln; when they are not in tandem we seem to struggle yet when they both play we can attack more down both sides or even switch them with success. Plus Tyreece didn't close down Rathbone quick enough for his excellent strike.
All 4 will have better games just like the rest of the team but Wrexham were very good on the day.
Not a criticism Lancs, but going forward do you think it might be an idea to put the "Closed" sign on the players marks thread when you make up this thread to help prevent people putting up marks that are too late and irrelevant...just an idea mate...🤷♂️

NO - for one reason which is the only practical place to put "closed" is in the title line and that can only be amended for 24 hours after putting it up. Now sometimes I close it in under 24 and sometime over also I rarely have marks put up after I have closed them which is helped by taking the "announced" tag away, also it is not irrelevant as other Lifers can read the late marks which might be helpful to someone.

Ok Lancs, just an idea mate,,.. At the risk of pushing my luck, could you not just put a post up stating "THIS IS NOW CLOSED", no need to amend the title🤷♂️...
Scores look right to me. Telling the truth and marking accurately is not scapegoating.
They look agreeable to you but it's subjective of course, like a vote in a general election. Among the scoring i think it's safe to say that some make mistakes, or don't know what they're voting for, or may vote in protest. What we end up with is the ranking that Lancashire Lad kindly compiles. Unlike an election it doesn't effect the rest of our lives too much, but neither is it a valid assessment of a player's performance. It's just a poll of opinions on Charlton Life, relatively small and unreflective mostly, which is probably a good thing for those who get repeatedly marked down on spurious grounds.

Friends again...🤞
I can't see the need for this as it is rare for anyone to post marks after they are closed, however I guess you must have a reason for your request that I just don't understand ???

I'm so pleased that all my work is "small and unreflective" - make my day

I don't think he's critiquing you here, more the sample size.
yes but if my stats are "small & unreflective" there is no point in doing them, I was thinking of packing it in anyway and remarks like that are not conducive to continuing.

It's neither here nor there really Lancs, and we shall just leave it as a misguided idea that it may help someone thinking of posting up marks, not realising that they are too late, I know this has happened to me personally... But hey Lancs, just an idea, just stay as it is mate
