Tickets will have to have a date, time and opponent on it I think. I don't think the system will struggle too much. Last time out they did season ticket holders and VG members (there will be big crossover) first and then everyone else, that staggers the sale pretty significantly

Of course it's different, season tickets are a package deal to get you a discount and a guaranteed same seat. Your season ticket seat will be reserved for you anyway I'm sure and there won't be a discount. There will be people who can make a Saturday game but not a midweek game and vice versa, that makes a difference too

The last home playoff game attendance was 25,428, so I think it will be safe to assume all stands will be open. We didn't hit 26k because Donny didn't sell out their away allocation.

Anything that supports filling the ground should be done. I’d offer fans purchasing tickets for this one a 25 point bonus, or a priority level above general sale for the play off matches.

From your previous notes I can’t work out if you are a season ticket holder or not. So apologies in advance if you are, but Why should people who are turning up for this game get any additional priority above those that have been going all season? Unless you are going to give all season ticket holders an additional 15 points to match it.
Let’s be honest if they haven’t been going 25 points is meaningless.
It’s the same every time when people who haven’t been going regularly want a ticket for a big game they come up with ideas that suit them and penalise those that have been going regularly over the past couple of seasons ( in most cases much longer)
There’s a loyalty system in place for exactly that reason, it’s for fans who have been loyal over the past couple of seasons. If we are having wish lists I would make it for at least the past five years and although a member take off Valley Gold as no doubt when the tickets for the away leg come up that boring ‘why should Valley Gold get priority’ debate will start again.
i know some people can’t get season tickets for certain reasons work, illness etc and can’t get to the points totals.
The loyalty scheme is in place and has been for the past few years. everyone who goes should know the rules how many tickets they can buy etc it’s not going to change for one game.
Once details are announced then season ticket seats should be held for two days and then put on sale to others. If we are at home first leg then it’s only five days between Burton and the home leg meaning those that want their tickets posted out are just hoping they arrive on time.
I can’t see an issue with saying ‘if we finish fifth the home leg will be on Saturday 10th, kick off to be agreed, and if we finish third or fourth the home leg will be Wednesday 14th (for example), kick off to be agreed’. ‘Tickets will go on sale tomorrow with opponents, date and time to be announced in due course’. Then those of us who will be going irrespective of date, time and opponents can buy early so alleviating stress to the ticketing system and staff as sales won’t be restricted to a five day period only.

Am I remembering right that last time we had half the JS? Was that only because Doncaster couldn't sell their allocation?
The decision to split the JS was taken once ticket sales in the normal home areas than expected (and had been sold the previous SF v Shrewsbury 12 months previously) and Doncaster not selling anything like the full amount of the JS, the club split the stand

Just wondering what would happen this year. For Wycombe to sell out the JS for example they’d need to take about 50% of their usual home fans. Granted it’s not a long trip and play offs but they only brought 1500 earlier in the season

No. We have to offer a minimum of 2,000. We don’t have to give anyone 3,000 (potentially 3,400) but the practicalities of segregating the JS stand will only make cutting it worthwhile if home areas are sold out.
The club cannot practically segregate the upper west for 2,000 away fans as it would compromise the exit routes.
