  • Great win for Ebbsfleet/ Shame its 40 games too late.
  • Darts win 1-0 so stay top of the league. No idea what happened but 14 mins of extra time.
    Billericay win 2-0
It's a good complaint, but it's been really hard to follow more than one team in a promotion chase.

All Dartford's games clash with Charlton's, which is annoying. And as I now live in North London I also have Barnet, going for the NL title...
Try being a Charlton fan, brought up in Dartford who now lives in Billericay…
  • Huge matches in the national league south on Friday. Truro v Torquay & Eastbourne v Worthing. 3 points separate the top 4 teams.
  • Went to Dover v Hendon yesterday. Good ground, but not the best pitch.

Hendon heading towards their first ever relegation. Only won one game since November 26th and not a single clean sheet since then. Dulwich have been terrible this season but I can't see Hendon getting to the 40 points that Dulwich currently have.

That's disappointing. Especially after Hendon were moved to the Isthmian this season.

Every team in the National League South promotion push was winning with 15 6 minutes to go.

Dorking were 1-2 up at Bath. The ball goes out for a throw near the edge of the Bath penalty. Josh Taylor prepares for a long throw. The home manager is moaning about something and the ref takes time to speak to him. Josh waits next to the lino to take the throw as the defence all comes up for it.

Inexplicably, the ref decides the throw-in is actually in the wrong place, and should be 30 yards back towards the half way line. Nobody understands this and there's quite a bit of confusion. It's a baffling mistake from the ref - who ignores his lino who tries to correct him. Wanderers realise this is no longer a long throw opportunity and the defence has to retreat. Josh is not the taker any more, he doesn't take them that far back as he's a centre midfielder, it's a winger's throw now. He goes back down the line and Matt Briggs runs over to take it instead.

Believing it was actually a time wasting tactic, the ref then gives Josh a second yellow card and sends him off. The fallout debacle goes on for 5 minutes. Dorking are then on the defensive for the last 5 minutes. The ref adds a ludicrous 12 minutes of injury time. Bath score in the 101st minute. Dorking's title push is almost over.

The gaffer is so angry I've been up since 6am making a video so he can show everyone how wrong the ref was!
  • Sounds like standard NLS and Isthmian Prem refs Jimmy. If people thought some of the refs Charlton get in League 1 love to be the centre of attention and make baffling decisions , they've got nothing on the NLS and Isthmian!

Shame incompetence has ruined what was shaping up for a fantastic 5 way fight.

Refs really don't help themselves do they. You'd think if the players were saying it, and the lino was also telling him that he might think to himself 'hang on i might have this wrong'.

A Dartford player also got a ludicrous second yellow for timewasting at a throw in, in the game at Wingate earlier this year. In that case there was a member of the coaching staff (not sure which team) genuinely in the way of his run up.

Some non league refs really seem fancy themselves as being "moral crusaders", stamping out diving and time wasting.
  • That's unbelievable, Rich !

Saw the score when I arrived home from Cambridge & wondered how on earth so much added time had been played !

Hopefully this ridiculous incident will make the players & Marc more determined to win all their remaining games.

    Onwards & upwards, DW !
