  • Going by train this time, count me in.

It's a hike getting from the station, the taxi is your friend.
  • 7 of us going.
  • If you’re driving there the Newmarket Rd Park & Ride is good place to park…… you can buy multi-people passes cheaper too….. it’s only a short ride to the ground and if traffic is busy after the game it’s only a 20 minutes walk along main road to get back to the car…. and it’s straight along main road so really hard to get lost 🙂
  • But good pubs on the way to break up the journey. (Which is really only half an hour walk). We will be in the Kingston arms. Decent beer and food looks good enough for us to give it a try this year.

Six of us going up, accommodation booked when we were playing particularly poorly, to celebrate mate's 60th. We have no tickets so I think we'll be streaming it to our AirBnB between pub visits...
  • Managed to get a ticket for this due to the kindness of a fellow lifer, can’t wait
  • Yep, with the boy

Will be there with the old man. Meant to be cracking weather... Can't wait.
  • Yep, cab it from station but not looking forward to the walk back after

  • Couple of nice pubs / bars by the station

The Empress on the way back is a nice pub too
  • Heading up early to have a look around the city before going to the game. Couldn’t have picked a better day weather wise for it.
  • Driving with my boys still mulling over whether to take them around Cambridge beforehand or just do the match, can’t see us going there next season and it’s a lovely city

There is a decent bus service back to the station for those that don’t fancy the walk

The number 3 bus runs between the station & Ditton Walk [situated behind the home end] & takes between 15-20 minutes.

Their club site says it’s a two mile 45 minute walk….I will of course cab it…..don’t suppose I can get a cab back though, my train leaves at six.🤔

Walk to Cambridge North after the game if you can. Much closer and the country path will be dry this weekend
  • I still have one adult spare for this if anyone wants it

The perfect chance to combine football with some sightseeing. Not something so easy to combine when visiting Barnsley or Luton!

  • 6 of us going by train - lunch in The Petersfield pub beforehand, going to The Geldart pub post match - looking like shorts weather 😃
  • If anyone has a spare ticket, give me a shout .
  • I'm in the home end trying not to look (I hope) smug

It'll be full of Cambridge professors, so prepare yourself for conversations about quark theory or Estonian feminist authors from the 1990s
  • After a couple of tickets if anyone can't make it...doesn't matter if it's last minute as staying in Cambridge anyway. Anyone going and got tickets for the Cambridge end?

Sorry mate…worth a try. Hope you get sorted 👍🏻
  • Will be making the journey from Cardiff for this one. Have rented a cottage on the Suffolk/Cambridgeshire border for the weekend. Going to the game with a Charlton supporting mate from university days and his son who both live in East Anglia. Our tickets are in the home end. Should be fun.
