Good afternoon everybody...

Today we are back home on what looks like a beautiful sunny warm day, The Valley will be looking wonderful when we welcome Lincoln City onto the hallowed turf as we go in search of our straight ninth home win on the spin, which must be close if not actually a record run.
Lincoln City, currently sitting in 12th position, you couldn't get more mid table if you tried, and really have nothing to lose today, and will no doubt come into today's game relaxed and ready to try and spoil our party but that ain't gonna happen, Michael Skubala’s side tasted triumph on Tuesday night as they recorded a 1-0 win at home to Huddersfield Town, so we really do have to thank them for that.
Nathan Jones confirmed in his pre-match press conference that Miles Leaburn will miss the remainder of the season, which is a real blow, but something we all had an idea on, while AMB has returned to training and Daniel Kanu is 'not too far'.

We've met on 21 previous occasions, winning nine, the Imps five and the remaining seven fixtures ending all square, we played out a goalless draw at the LNER Stadium in the reverse fixture in December 2024.

So here we go...

Team news...

Karoy Anderson will start this afternoon’s clash with Lincoln City as Nathan Jones makes one enforced change from the side that beat Mansfield Town 2-1 in midweek.

Anderson replaces Tyreece Campbell, who misses out with a minor calf injury, while Gassan Ahadme returns to the Charlton bench.

It means Jones’ side may again line-up with Kayne Ramsay, Tom McIntyre and Macaulay Gillesphey starting in a back three in front of Will Mannion.

Thierry Small and Josh Edwards are expected to operate as wing-backs with midfielders Conor Coventry, Anderson, skipper Greg Docherty and Luke Berry all starting.

One of the midfielders may join Matty Godden up front if the Addicks are to stick with the 3-5-2 formation used in recent months.

Ahadme is joined on the bench by Dean Bouzanis, Alex Mitchell, Tennai Watson, Alex Gilbert, Kaheim Dixon and Chuks Aneke.

Charlton: Mannion; Ramsay, McIntyre, Gillesphey; Small, Coventry, Anderson, Docherty (c), Edwards; Berry, Godden

Subs: Bouzanis, Mitchell, Watson, Gilbert, Dixon, Ahadme, Aneke

Sort of had a hint TC was not good after he went off late at Mansfield, hopefully just one game though...

I don’t think Dixon is anywhere near ready to start a league match.

Could be tough this one with two key players in recent weeks missing

With current scores, I think I'd take a draw now...

Says a lot of what Jones thinks of Ahadme then.  I don’t relish teams with no pace - Dixon has that

I knew it would come to bite us not signing another winger in the window, one upfront it seems?

Would have been tempted too, we lack pace with Godden, Berry, Anderson.

But in Jones we trust!  I'd have played Mitchell not McIntyre midweek and McIntyre played well in a win so what do I know?!

Despite our best efforts, Top 2 is looking a bit of a stretch. Would love 3 points here and we can focus on getting TC and Jones fully fit for the plsyoffs.

    We'll catch Wycombe.

But bloody Wrexham winning again.  If only we'd signed Smith when we were in for him before he went to Reading.

To be fair Smith has done f**k all for the most part today...

Charlton will make the play offs anything else is a bonus, that being the case I'd rather we had a fully fit squad after 46 games, rather than go into the play offs missing too many.

Not at all, just making an observation on how we have no ready-made replacement for our most creative player

With current scores I think we should run the table and hope that Wrexham's match-fixers (refs) have an off day or two so that we beat them to 2nd spot (Wycombe will drop back into the play-offs and lose in the semi-final).

2nd game in a row for me. I was only going for the Tyreece Campbell song. :(

Our attacking threat has just reduced massively. Need to see a big shift from midfield today

No TC no Jones and no Leaburn weakens us. The other players must step up and show we’re strong anyway.

    This all day long.

We now have no real attacking  threat. Dont forget Small is a defender by trade.

The failure to strengthen in January is looking more foolish as the injuries mount & the is no back up.

Couldn't really see anything other than a Wrexham win at home today considering they are 2nd and Burton are 21st tbh
