Birmingham dropping to L1 in the first place was a massive failure, all caused by their owners bringing in Rooneyfenaddick said:
Took the words out of my mouth! Very similar to Carlisle. Birmingham buck the trend but it seems like the brash spotlight seeking Americans who buy clubs tend to fail completelyMarcusH26 said:MintoHumbugs said:Gills get a point and the fans celebrate not dropping out of the league.
What a very low bar for a club the chairman was taking to the Championship.
Isn't their owner basically another TS? Promised the world and hasn't delivered , just goes through loads of managers with different styles.4 -
It's actually worked out better for them in the long run though because of the different financial rules in place. They've basically been allowed to buy a Championship level team without having to fall in line with the loss limits that Championship sides have to fit within.killerandflash said:

Indeed, though I doubt it was a deliberate attempt to get around the Championship spending rules!Chris_from_Sidcup said:

4th win in a row for Derby, and out of the bottom 3 now!0

Horrendous choking by Jacko’s Wimbledon team.
Seven points dropped from winning positions after 80 minutes in the last three games. Now they are five points adrift of automatics.2 -
A lot of teams are choking in L2! When compared to the Championship and L1, the automatic promotion places will be achieved with a very low points total.Callumcafc said:Horrendous choking by Jacko’s Wimbledon team.

Looking increasingly likely that after a decent start, Oxford will end up going straight back down.killerandflash said:4th win in a row for Derby, and out of the bottom 3 now!
Just 1 win in 11 for them now and they have to play 3 of the top 4 in their last 7 games.

Anyone from 15th down is still involved in the relegation fight. Will need 50pts to stay up this season probably.Chris_from_Sidcup said:

It also looks like anyone down to Millwall in 13th could make the play offs with a determined run so it’s going to be a Wild West saloon fight in the Championship between now and the end of the season, with Preston in 14th playing the piano whilst it’s all kicking off. There’s likely to be late ‘surprises’ at both ends of the Championship table this season.BalladMan said:

Millwall would probably need to take at least 19 points from their last 7 games to make it, which is highly unlikely. They still have to play Sheff Utd and Burnley away.letthegoodtimesroll said:

The Championship as always is the most exciting league for the neutral, with loads of closely matched teams. Sunderland are the only team by themselves, too far off the top 3 to fight for the automatic places, but 13 points ahead of 5th so a 99.9% cert for the playoffs.

I seem to recall they’ve got previous end of season form in making that sort of run so I wouldn’t rule them out just yet, maybe wait a game or two to be safe.Chris_from_Sidcup said:

Bet they’re glad we’re not in the same division..killerandflash said:The Championship as always is the most exciting league for the neutral, with loads of closely matched teams. Not particularly new news but now confirmed Birmingham spent a net £21m on players for this season

2-0 to Boro against Blackburn inside 8 minutes. Given Derby's recent revival and Blackburn's off field issues Eustace leaving to take that job doesn't look that silly any more.

For those needing a touch of inspiration today...
Burton have only ever lost to Wrexham the once
Reading have only ever lost three times to Wycombe
Charlton have just one win in the last seven against Lincoln.0 -
In the words of Bowyer, the ground will be absolutely bouncing come 3PM if Wrexham and Wycombe have dropped points.2

Think we could be in for half a bounce come 3pm, a mini bounce if you like.SouthWest_Addicks said:In the words of Bowyer, the ground will be absolutely bouncing come 3PM if Wrexham and Wycombe have dropped points.0 -
Some good 12:30 games today, Sky have picked a number of important fixtures in all 3 divisions, rather than ones to get the quota up for certain teams...1

Just watching the Wrexham Ifollow stream it has no pre match stuff at all !! Our coverage seems like Hollywood compared to theirs which is ironic lol1

Any danger of Wrexham going through 90 minutes without the ref giving the oppo a red card, or them a bucket load of penalties?4

Almost every game at the moment, they get huge bit of luck from the officials.cafcnick1992 said:Any danger of Wrexham going through 90 minutes without the ref giving the oppo a red card, or them a bucket load of penalties?0 -
McClean should have just been booked for stopping a Burton breakaway!!0
