Players Marks: Mansfield v Charlton (closes Wednesday teatime)

MANNION: 7 - Protected well again but he's always reliable for some big catches at the end when we need to slow their momentum. Always slightly scary on a backpass as well
RAMSAY: 7 - Had a tough game with Small being very poor defensively on the right but kept them as quiet as possible
McINTYRE: 8 MOTM - Had some pretty colossal shoes to fill and filled them well. Good with both feet and just like Jones throws himself into a header and wins it. Ran himself into the ground
GILLESPHEY: 7 - Looked slightly shakier than usual, no doubt due to the change next to him and his new partner being left-footed but held up well
SMALL: 6 - So poor defensively down the right but shaped up a lot more on the left and helped shut them down as the game went on
COVENTRY: 7.5 - Very strong and controlled. With Mansfield getting in our faces we needed a firm hand in midfield and he brought it
BERRY: 6.5 - The thing I - and likely Jones - like about Berry is even if the creative stuff isn't coming off he'll still put his foot in and win you a scrap. Sludgy game that needed some aggression and he brought it
DOCHERTY: 6 - Ran his socks off but Coventry needed more support alongside him to take hold of the midfield and Docherty just isn't careful enough on the ball a lot of the time
EDWARDS: 6.5 - Looks like the player feeling the games most of anyone, still puts in a good shift
GODDEN: 7 - Sniffed out his goal very well and showed just why the manager rates him so highly when he was the one tracking their right back's overlapping run into our box. Such a great signing
CAMPBELL: 7 - Was the target of a lot of physical play and held up well before switching wings and torturing his new dance partner. Saved us with a goal
Referee: 4 - I don't like refs who target one aspect of dodgy play and fall for another. Gave a lot of pushes against us but allowed them some sneaky tugbacks here and there without comment. Seemed to want to watch a fight, which is at least quite funny

Aneke: n/a - His sort of day. Backed into players and was too bulky to tackle quickly when receiving clearances isolated up the pitch which gave our team time to reset shape
Anderson: n/a - Straight into their faces harrying defenders high up the pitch. It really kills their ability to build a platform to cross from deep and I love him even if he does some daft things on the ball
Watson: n/a - He seems nice
A.Mitchell: n/a - It's a good sign (not for him granted) when a player as decent as Mitchell can barely get a look in
