No Jones is a big loss but at this stage of the season it’s much better to be precautionary. Hopefully he’s back for Cambridge2

Right time to send my Son to bed, quick read of the story about the man who scored a hat-trick at Wembley, and if that fails to get him off to sleep before 7:45pm... I'll have to resort to other nefarious means1

Make him watch the match...🤷♂️ForeverAddickted said:Right time to send my Son to bed, quick read of the story about the man who scored a hat-trick at Wembley, and if that fails to get him off to sleep before 7:45pm... I'll have to resort to other nefarious means2 -

McIntyre over Mitchell - I hope that is correct .0

See we have Terry and Brownie on Comms tonight, so 50% of the game should be good...🤦♂️3

Come on you reds!

Just score more than them?golfaddick said:Hmmm.....not great news. Jones has been the rock in the heart of the defence. Not seen much (if anything) of Macintyre and I would prefer Mitchell there of I'm honest.
Just have to score more than they do. Simples.
Not good enough.
We're playing a side in the bottom ten WHO HAVE NEVER BEATEN US.
This a golden opportunity to put a minnow to the sword; to roll our proud red Routemaster over the mewling kitten of ineptitude that is Mansfield Town FC.
We desperately need to improve our goal difference. It's always the most critical factor when deciding League positions at the end of the season.
Brackets on the vidiprinter or I'm tearing up my season ticket.4 -
Alright, threaten him that you will make him watch the match if he don't go to sleep, that should get him to sleep in a moment...🙄ForeverAddickted said:

Pretty sure Lloyd Jones not playing is an April fools and he will be jogging out of the tunnel at the start of the match.7

We had Mitchell and Gillesphey together, when we lost Jones before Golfie, coincided with our worst run of results, not pin pointing anything but you and I are quicker than those two.golfaddick said:Hmmm.....not great news. Maybe, as he's more experienced, he's a better organiser than Mitchell, as that's a key role Jones plays.fenaddick said:
Think Jones must be expecting us to have lots of possession, McIntyre looks better on the ball than MitchellGarrymanilow said:
I'm really surprised by that. I've been really impressed with McIntyre but he's always come on in midfield and he seems like an obvious swap for Gillesphey or Coventry but you'd imagine Mitchell is the big dominant CB in place of Jones. That said one of the things that has impressed me most with McIntyre is the sheer number of headers he's won in midfield and how intelligent he's looked on the ball, and those are the two things that Jones does best for uskillerandflash said:A bit of a blow to Alex Mitchell that McIntyre is ahead of him, even in the central CB position.1 -
Maybe McIntyre is more of an organiser. Jones is a key player for us so it might be best if we go for them.2
-
Bloody hell, where's our lot, pissed off watching Mansfield warming up...0

This is why a lot of us don’t like Jones .. and why he’s proven most of us wrong ..MuttleyCAFC said:Maybe McIntyre is more of an organiser. Jones is a key player for us so it might be best if we go for them.

Same, especially in that central role, and given he's ours not a loan. Really out of favour at the moment.mendonca said:Thought Mitchell would be the replacement for Jones.
Trust Jones to be making good choices though!0 -
Personally, I hope McIntyre has a barn storming game...
As Jonesy has been playing through the pain barrier, it would be nice if the strain was taken off him a little.2 -
