Thanks for sharing. Words such as specialist, scans and innocuous are being used to illustrate the severity it seems.JohnnyJoeyDeeDee said:
I think he is out for the season - heard from a board memberBostonaddick said:Let’s hope he is back soon. I don’t have a lot of faith in Chuks/Ahadme if we need a late goal
A big loss that will impact our season, as he's an excellent option from the bench (at the very least).2 -
Will be a big loss if out for the season. Does mean he’ll be around until at least January though. Stick a contract in front of him while he’s injured6
-
Why he's another Chuks and he really isn't irreplaceable?fenaddick said:Will be a big loss if out for the season. Does mean he’ll be around until at least January though. Stick a contract in front of him while he’s injured1 -
If he's out for the season then I hope Kanu injury isn't that bad. We need some pace to bring on when things aren't working.
Or maybe Ahadme will score the winner at Wembley0 -
Harsh, but his injury record is not good, still only young and perhaps time will tell if his body becomes stronger as he gets older or not.bolloxbolder said:

Leaburn being out for the rest of the season in itself isnt a problem (he's hardly been pulling up trees in recent games)......the problem comes in the back up players -
Aneke
Ahadme.
But we knew this in January.5 -
If I was him I would sign a contract with us as soon as possible. He will not get a better offer now.
The question is should we sign an injury prone player again.1 -
Heard the same today from someone who is usually itk about squad newsJohnnyJoeyDeeDee said:

Dr Abbott or the Specialist will be the guys to listen to not a board member.1 -
Perhaps he is!soapboxsam said:JohnnyJoeyDeeDee said:

So the scan had already been done before Saturday's match 🤔0 -
If true and this is another injury that will sideline him I genuinely feel for the lad. It will seriously impact his options re moving on as it casts another serious doubt on his ability to stay fit0
-
If this is true, I fear for us, whether he had been pulling up trees or not, he can change a game in a instance9
-
And unfortunately, Chuks no longer can.northstandsteve said:If this is true, I fear for us, whether he had been pulling up trees or not, he can change a game in a instance8 -
With Miles out, we've seen the 'real life' risk of playing members of the first team in U21 games to keep them 'fresh and fit'.
Suddenly, from having 2 young players competing in the same position, they're both unavailable from injuries in training and an academy game.1 -
Jones said in his post-match interview that he'd already had a scan.soapboxsam said:oohaahmortimer said:

But you can't wrap up players in cotton wool for months, as they'll be completely rusty when they have to play. Kanu twisted his ankle, that could have happened in normal training.mendonca said:With Miles out, we've seen the 'real life' risk of playing members of the first team in U21 games to keep them 'fresh and fit'.

Is Micah Mbick still at the club?
Could he play a part in our run in?0 -
Injured and has been out for a long time. Would be Casey or Dixon most likely to step up if we got two more injuriesMendonca In Asdas said:Is Micah Mbick still at the club?

Not about two more injuries mate I would replace Chucks on the bench with either of them next weekfenaddick said:

Highly unlikely that anyone from the youth setup is going to play given we are fighting for promotion and they have not played in a league match of substance. As much as I don’t like that we have three slower hold up center forwards as reserves, we are going to have to live with it and hope1

We got promoted with Parker who did contribute when it mattered.3
-
Feel for the lad but also these injuries are getting to common. Honestly right now (ignoring the fact that he is one of our own) would you offer him anything more than 1/2 years on a contract ?
He does have a touch of class of course, which was prevalent in December, but overall this season he hasnt really kicked on has he ? maybe the injuries are hampering his ability0 -
Parker was a much better player than Ahadme and what Chuks is now . He was also playing in a much more fluid outfit .MuttleyCAFC said:We got promoted with Parker who did contribute when it mattered.3 -
Yes but in our situation where we need someone on the bench who can come on and do something I would rather one of our youngsters than Chucks. They would at least have the incentive of proving themselves so we know they will give 100%wmcf123 said:

Agreed - I would be giving Dixon and Casey a go ahead of both of themAndyG said:

I've been advocating having Dixon on the bench for the past month or two. Just gives us something different. And he's quick & can finish.wmcf123 said:

I would bring Dixon to the bench too but in Jones we trust. Forgetting all the background music he is catching the eye in the U21s.4
