You mean wearing my lucky pants every matchday doesn't help the team win ?

Wait, so Charlton’s bad form all these years has been your fault all along? No wonder you’re so negative! 😉

League 1 football is Good, bad and ugly:

Wycombe spent 70 minutes looking totally average, yet like Charlton Athletic they saved their best to last and pounced to score two goals in added time. For a split second it looked like Wycombe were 2-1 down in 86 mins when it seemed the ref had given the goal but a word in his ear changed his mind for the blatant hand ball.

Richard Kone is at 21,  the best finisher in League 1 and if it's true a fee rising to 7 million in the January window from Luton was turned down with Ex boss Bloomfield behind the bid then expect, Perm 1 from 3 between Leicester, Saints or Ipswich to fight it out for his signature in the Championship next season.

Kone signed a new long contract after hitting the ground running after the big jump from the Essex league to the 3rd tier. WW knew they could get double what they turned down in the last window if an auction situation arises.

Kone would be the ideal replacement for Vardy at Leicester or Delap at Ipswich; Liam Delap was signed for 20 million on a fiver year contract so I would expect at least a 40 to 50 million bid to prise him away from the tractor boys to get him back in the Premier.

I don't think Leicester will have any money next season (and may well face a points deduction from the EFL). Can easily seem them struggling to stay in the Championship next season.
  • Bit of a choker at the end - i watched the game on tv - neither team looked up to much - was happy with 1-1, then rotherham scored and that was a bonus, it was then rightly disallowed and wycombe then scored 2 - a tough 5 minutes.  Rotherham looked better for a lot of the game but were a  bit easy osey - wycombe looked a bit more powerful and committed and had kone up top but generally wasn't impressed with them.

Wycombe were crap until Rotherham scored.  Then they seemed to actually wake up.  Rotherham were giving the ball away far too easy though.  Luckily for them they were pretty good at getting it back.
