Hills at the back for them (on loan from Norwich) was an absolute arsehole but would have him with us next season for sure.6

Horrible game against a horrible team.A great point under the circumstances. Quite a few tired legs today which made the result even better.
Campbell and Edwards in particular didn't look their energetic self.
The ref is quite frankly in the wrong profession.
Still , another clean sheet.7 -
Solid defensive display and a great point away from home. Would have taken a draw before the game, and if we back it up with a win against Crawley then it's happy days.
But, we were so toothless going forward. I don't know what has happened to Leaburn, but he was so ineffective and slow today. Chuks a complete waste of space. He shouldn't make the bench again.1 -
Poor quality game where the teams nullified each other. Both defences dominant. Tough to play in and equally tough to watch. I thought we just shaded the first half and they shaded the second. Got to be happy with the point and a win at Crawley on Tuesday would take us above Stockport to 4th.
We're cementing our place in the play off spots but I think we’re going to have to play better than we have in the past few games to stand a chance of grabbing automatic promotion.

A game that showed how important Godden's link-up play is for us5

Stockport are a very good side at this level so the result was a decent one especially away from home. Though we fought hard we didn't really create and both wide players in particular looked jaded. On a positive note it was a very good performance from Mannion who often looked like a weak link earlier in the season.4

They had 58.8% possession and both teams only had one shot on target.
That is why it was so exciting 🥴1 -
Thought their no.9 was quality4

Division Three football writ large on TV for the watching Sky hundreds...
We have never bettered this division on our latest sojourn, just acclimatised ourselves to it. Our extended stay may come to an end soon, it may not. The Stockports of this world inhabit it, serviced by inept officials and with a grounded ambition. The longer we stay, i fear we shall metamorph into something similar, and all our splendid history, and story will fade like memories rightly do.
Take a point, we would arguably have folded 12 months ago, and pray. Pray Addicks that NJ and our present "stakeholders" have a plan, a cunning plan to escape this turgid, swamp of a division.

Orient 2-0 down to Northampton at half time. Looks like they're doing what we used to do0

I've seen fussy fees who blow for everything so ro begin with this guy seemed to let the game flow. Turned out though he would let anything go, to the extent the couple of free kicks he gave were bizarre. As was some of the assaults on Leaburn and TC he thought were all part of the game. Overall, he probably did nt change the result, but his decision making was idiotic.
As for us, strong at the back and did what we could elsewhere. As an attacking force, we offered little, so the result is a welcome one. And Stockport are a horrible team, but good at home so a good point from a great week.2 -
Stockport pitch is 2m narrower than the Valley, can this explain why TC and Small struggled?9

Very tough game against a bunch of bullies. The lenient ref made that happen. You could argue we got away with some as well but I lost count of how many times our players were wrestled to the ground. I think their number 18 sent more time pulling Jones's shirt than playing football. And there was one particular push on Jones (I think) in the second half where he was blatantly pushed to the ground while airborne and the ref let it go.
Thought the defence were awesome today and despite not being effective going forward the midfield contributed to that.
We were quite frankly rubbish up front with Leaburn being the worst. Okay they were roughed up the whole game but they still didn't make the most of the few breaks we had.
Still, a good point at a difficult ground. I,ll take that!1 -
Not a great game but I’m happy with the point. We’re still in the mix. Onto Tuesday COYR2

More of a wrestling match than a football match, and the referee let everything go, terrible officiating.3

No doubt the Stockport managed identified that the width provided by Small and TC is integral to our game - nullify them and we resort to long high ball, which his big CBs and giant keeper could gobble up.
They did their homework on us.

Some of the criticism on here is really over the top. Especially re Leaburn. Early on, Edwards got a wicked cross in. It appeared to be a chance for Miles and Brownie wondered why he didnt get on the end of it. Well we were already watching a playback from behind the goal. Defender had his shirt almost over his neck and pushed him on the floor for good measure. Otherwise he was perfectly placed to nod home. Clear penalty otheriwise, at least with a ref ready to implement the basics of the law.
As for TC he needs a rest but he also needs the ball in front of him to take on defenders. Didnt get one such ball today. Maybe have to give credit to Stockport for that, as the same true for Small on the other side. Camera at that dump is too low to fully get a perspective on that.Happy with a point and clean sheet at the home of a well organised pub team managed by the low-life pub team full back who effectively ended Martin Pringle’s career. At least, I was happy til I read this thread.9 -

I think somebody has to have a word with the ref and tell him that shirt pulling is not allowed.2

The spectacle was awful but that was down to how Stockport wanted to play. It was an aerial game with the ball in the air for most of it and very physical. Both sides were lucky not to sustain any serious injuries and the poor referee did little to protect the players which is his primary responsibility.
The point was good given we showed little threat and another ref may have given them a soft penalty in the first half
Back to winning ways against Crawley on Tuesday.1 -

I rarely watch us on CharltonTV and today showed me why.
A nervous 97mins with little quality from either side but we restricted them to few chances and came away with a valuable point.
Doing that when you haven't played well is key to success but I hope it was just an off day for Small and Campbell although it was clear County saw them as our key men and set up to stop them.
Hope Jones is fit for the rest of the season.
Too often our keepers have been marked down on the basis they "had nothing to do" but today Mannion did what was need in difficult windy conditions. He and Gillesphy were men of the match.
7 points out of 9 with two difficult away games is far from shabby and we know we can play better.
Get some revenge over Crawley on Tuesday and we are well set for the run in.

Good first half attacking display.
Good second half defensive display.
Ref ruined the game by letting too much go for both sides.0 -
That is the first time Stockport have failed to score at home since 5th November.44

Point is good but with godden on it could’ve been three1

I worry that the amount of pushing/shoving and shirt pulling we now get involved in (not just today) is going to cost
us dear in a match soon.Yes you can criticise the ref today if you want BUT the activity is increasing every week it feels and we are not without blame.I just hope we don’t get on the wrong side of a ref and pay a big price albeit we have to do what we have to do sometimes.I guess I’m worried we don’t have the luxury of many games now to have a bad result.1
