Not necessarily, other than AMB we have an entirely fit squad. Kanu, Mitchell and his favourite Danny Hylton can’t make the bench either. Some have to miss out and it shows why he was happy for the likes of Edun to go, they were nowhere near making the bench.ElfsborgAddick said:Jones either does not rate him or has had a bust up with him.Ahadme seems to be completely bombed from the squad.3 -
saw him in the coach/car park after the Brum game .. he was busy with fans taking selfies .. I asked why he wasn't playing, shouted reply 'still injured' .. wasn't on the team coach, he and (presumably) his gf left the car park with a couple of wheelie suit cases2

Hylton won’t be included in the match squad unless like before when we had 12 players out injured … he here as a coach first and foremostScoham said:

Tbf the only match I can see Hylton ever featuring in for us again is against Northampton in April!Scoham said:

If we want someone to close down then we have Leaburn and Kanu both ahead of Ahadme. So with Leaburn taking that role, the other option shouldn’t be something similar. This is why Chuks is there and in recent games like Bolton and Orient he has made a positive impactBraziliance said:I'd like to see him given a chance, it's unlikely he dislodges TC or Godden, but he has to offer more than Chuks, at the very least he can close down better.
He's got a header on him, and we are getting balls in the box now, he may do better in this team now it's settled and there's less pressure on his shoulders.0 -

Chuks mainly comes on when we need a goal these days and there’s no planet where Ahadme offers more in that situation.Braziliance said:I'd like to see him given a chance, it's unlikely he dislodges TC or Godden, but he has to offer more than Chuks, at the very least he can close down better.

I know, my point was we have several players who can’t make the bench, including back ups like Hylton.RonnieMoore said:

Not being a sub doesn’t prove Jones has given up on Ahadme or that they’ve had a bust up.3 -
Godden and Chuks surely have just a season or two left in them, he will be needed next season whatever league we are in, unless of course he has rocked the boat so much his career has sunk without trace, excuse the mixed metaphors
We are a far more confident and together team than we were when he was being selected, i m o this would make a 'comeback' easier than in the recent past.
He obviously has ability, it's a question of developing that ability and developing a role for him within this, or the next team structure.
Lastly, he was an expensive buy for us, we need to try as much as possible to get our moneys' worth before writing him off3 -

I think we should focus on trying to get the best results every match to try and get promoted and not worry about trying to get our moneys worth for the sake of itLincsaddick said:Godden and Chuks surely have just a season or two left in them, he will be needed next season whatever league we are in, unless of course he has rocked the boat so much his career has sunk without trace, excuse the mixed metaphors

He'd probably look better now as a team we are playing better but he wouldn't start ahead of Godden or Leaburn.4

Gas was a big part of the Crawley debacle, and no part of the turn around since.4

But so were Leaburn, Godden, Coventry, Edwards, Mitchell, Gillesphey, Small, Campbell, Kanu and Maynard-Brewer. He's not been part of the turnaround since he was dropped and then injured and he definitely wouldn't be a key piece but it would be nice to see what he can do in a team that passes the ball, has some space to work in, stretches opposition defences and most importantly plays with a bit of confidence. Thinking back to how rancid Docherty, Berry, Gillesphey, even Campbell were at times when we were struggling, or how bad Lloyd Jones was at a certain point last season it makes a big difference to be in a setup that works. I hope he gets a chance when we're good at least, from there it's up to him.Ferryman said:Gas was a big part of the Crawley debacle, and no part of the turn around since.11 -

This is exactly what I was thinking, seems like his game is all about wingers getting crosses into him. We are doing that much more often now.Braziliance said:I'd like to see him given a chance, it's unlikely he dislodges TC or Godden, but he has to offer more than Chuks, at the very least he can close down better.

I understand the point but we're a different team front to back since that night. Gas clearly struggled in a team lumping long balls up the pitch in his vague direction, maybe he'd look better in a team playing the kind of football we're showing now. When he's fit and Nathan thinks he's ready I'd like to see him brought on with 20 mins to go to see what he can do.Ferryman said:Gas was a big part of the Crawley debacle, and no part of the turn around since.3 -
We're at a critical stage of the season and every point counts. It's not the time to hand out chances to players who are at the bottom of the pecking order. Maybe he can impress in the pre-season friendlies.

Hand out no, but if we pick up any injuries he may get a chance as a sub and that might be all he needs to challenge for a place on the bench.Chunes said:We're at a critical stage of the season and every point counts. There’s a lot of games coming up, I wouldn’t completely rule out the chance of that happening. Depends if Jones has completely given up on him or not.2 -

True, assuming he's above Hylton!Scoham said:

I mean... Yeeeeesh. What a season for our marquee signing.1 -
Bit of a myth that Ahadme was our marquee signing. Rumoured to be the most expensive but I think Berry and Docherty came in with bigger reputations and higher expectations. Arguably Godden too. Still been a proper damp squib of a season for him though.8

Whatever way we want to frame that signing, nobody could argue he hasn't been a big disappointment.Exiled_Addick said:Bit of a myth that Ahadme was our marquee signing. The way he's been dumped from the squad makes me think he wasn't Jones' signing and it signalled the end of Scott...12

Didn't someone say he said he's still injured?1

Cant be good when a part time coach gets the nod ahead of him - unless he is crocked.2

definitely wont be good enough for the Championship.ElfsborgAddick said:

Wasn’t he doing some sort of fitness exercise with Kanu and Mitchell before a recent game when none of them were in the squad ? Maybe Jones genuinely thinks Hylton is better .0 -

Another contract ripped up then ?ElfsborgAddick said:

Certainly could mean losing a lot more money.wmcf123 said:
