Ellis bowls Axar
178-4 (35). At the same stage Australia were 186-4. If they can get Kohli out now then it will be "game on"0 -
A crazy shot from Kohli. With well over 50 singles and the rate under a run a ball, he decides to take on long on and fails to do so. It will be so funny to see his face should India lose now.
225-5 (42.5)0 -
Hardik out with 6 needed
259-6 (47.5)0 -
India win by 4 wickets with 11 balls to spare. Australia only have themselves to blame - Smith and Maxwell, getting out in quick succession when trying to force it at a time when they didn't need to, cost them 20-30 runs and those three dropped catches made all the difference too.1

Very gracious of the UAE to allow Pakistan to host one of the knockout matches.0

NZ won the toss and have elected to bat. NZ are unchanged and SA have the captain, Bavuma, returning in place of Stubbs0

NZ 143-1 after 25.0

143-1 (25)
Ravindra batting superbly with 80* (75), supported by Williamson 39 (52). NZ have to be looking at 330 plus on what is a very good surface.

Ravindra reaches his fifth ODI hundred - all in ICC tournaments. He is a real talent in all forms of the game.0
-
201-1 (32). We're now looking at 360 plus especially as Mulder has gone off injured.0
-
Williamson reaches his 15th ODI century but is then out for 102 (94). Ravindra was out for 108 (101)
252-3 (40)

For me, the NZ cricket team is probably the most likeable non England team in any international sport4

Can see them having a collapse here and not making 3000

Bat positively but properly for the first 40 over to build a big platform, which then allows the T20 sloggers to make hay for the last 10 overs.0

143-2 (25). At the same stage, NZ were 143-1.0

189-5 (33). Unless Miller has one of "his" innings now, it is all over for SA.0
-
NZ win by a very comfortable 50 runs. SA lost their way in the end. Despite making 100* (67), Miller couldn't get enough of the strike and probably should really have launched his attack a bit earlier than he did. NZ worthy winners nevertheless.
Here's hoping they smash India in the final. At least they have had some experience of playing in Dubai now.

Congratulations to Champions Trophy hosts Pakistan on a great tournament. And, of course, even bigger congratulations to New Zealand who beat perennial chokers South Africa in the final.
Best of luck to the Kiwis, whose next game is against India in a post-tournament friendly in Dubai on Sunday.1 -
NZ win the toss and will bat. Massive loss for them - top overall wicket taker in the tournament, Matt Henry, has been ruled out through injury. India are unchanged.0

83-3 (15)0

153-4 (35)0

Not going well, sadly.0

Well NZ well and truly lost their way in the middle period and ended up being "strangled" due to regularly losing wickets and a lack of rotation, albeit they finished well to reach 251-7. Whether, in the absence of Henry, their quicks can take a couple of early wickets and then Santner, Bracewell, Phillips and Ravindra can replicate the spells of Varun, Kuldeep, Axar and Jadeja remains to be seen. Here's hoping they can - and more to win the game.
Breakdown of 10 over periods:
1-10: 69-1
11-20: 32-2
21-30: 34-1
31-40: 37-1
41-50: 79-20
