"No foul play involved" apparently. His wife is only 63. Seems unlikely that they all died of natural causes the same night.

    Anyway, RIP. Great actor.

Wow indeed one of the greatest. Bit strange both passing away naturally but time will tell.

    Suspected Carbon Monoxide poisoning.

    Regardless RIP.

    Carbon Monoxide poisoning?

Sounds horrible but I hope it's something like that rather than anything sinister.

Great actor, French Connection and Unforgiven are superb films for a start.

Such sad news. Great actor. Loved him in Heist & Enemy of the State.

    RIP.
  • Sounds like very tragic circumstances. RIP Hackman family.
  • A brilliant actor and genuinely interesting person.

While he will always be remembered for Popeye Doyle, his wider work was almost uniformly good.

    RIP

RIP one of my favorites.  Looked like a truck driver, grounded despite stardom and a great great actor.

Great Actor, awful circumstances by the look of it. RIP. First film I think of is the Poseidon Adventure.

One of my favourite actors of all time . It's hard to pick a favourite performance or film because there are so many but if i had a gun to my head i'd say Crimson Tide.

    RIP

That would make sense because their pet was found dead as well. 95 is a great innings though
  • Should also say, RIP Betsy Arakawa.

Much younger than Gene Hackman so even sadder.
  • RIP. Superb in Scarecrow
  • RIP Gene and Betsy

Enemy of the State is one of my favourite films and he really was 'Brill' in it. Will have to stick it on over the weekend. RIP Gene

    RIP

    Very good, understated actor.

Very funny in comedy roles like Lex Luther but could do hard man roles.
