Some people were gullible enough to believe it. Sensible people weren't.2 -
We can only hope that Trump follows through with his promise to flood the global market with cheap gas.
The government are so focused on virtual signalling about clean energy that they won't do anything sensible to bring down energy prices.6 -

Milliband when he was energy minister in a previous government stated that everybody would have smart meters fitted by 2020, that went well, original smart meters now need replacing as they relied on radio signals, the cost will be no doubt passed onto consumers.3

Still got your old coal fire? Still got your old 50p gas meter? Atill got your old tick gas meter?
Technology changes. As technology changes, it becomes more efficient. Therefore, the technology in your home needs to change to take advantage of this.
Still, let's not improve anything ever because it might cost a bit.
Meanwhile, the planet's on fire, and it won't be us that suffers, but future generations.5 - Sponsored links:

With the increase, millichip now has to reduce bills by over £400 by 2030, whilst delivering almost all green electricity. It ain’t looking good and is only going to get worse.1

I'm sat here waiting for Led By Donkeys to put up a poster about the price cap going up by £300 instead of down, as promised by Labour.

I don’t know what Ed Milliband promised, but tbf to Chippy I have seen footage of Starmer promising to freeze energy prices if Labour were elected and I do agree that they nearly all lie and I didn’t fall for it.
No idea why his water bill went up by 300%.Maybe he hasn’t paid it for 10 years.1 -

It's not virtue signalling to move to cheaper forms of energy, which will make us self sufficient in the future, it's common sense.
Climate change is going to make much of the planet uninhabitable in the coming years, if we don't do anything about it, that's if we make it that far with the new world order.
Those calling for the use of more fossil fuels must take off the blinkers, take their heads out of the sand and recognise that we are in very dangerous times on all fronts.3 -

I went to ring thames water yesterday, then a letter popped through the box explaining why. I am on a meter and it was changed several months ago. The fee is clearly 3 times what i was paying and for the last 20 years. Most people would say i underpaid.
Not quite sure why people think its funny when someone's bills go up that much. Maybe its personal.
I dont know anyone who drives a Tesla but i am sure someone does,0 -

If you have been underpaying for metered water for 20 years your bill has little to do with price increases and everything to do with being undercharged for 20 years.
I would investigate the legal position for you, but am just about to enter Shepherd’s Bush Empire to see Kasabian.
My gas company didn’t bill me properly for about 5 years and I got them to write it off as it was past the date they could lawfully bill me.
I don’t know the legalities re water without googling.2
