United after the exits look toothless up front. Not important in the league perhaps, but the Europa League is a realistic chance of getting a Champions League place for next season, and the lack of a decent No 9 won't help that campaign.

Just like we're all meant to have sympathy with Pep and Arteta because they have injuries.

Seriously, I know I moan about Levy but how bloody obvious is it that they needed a proper centre forward for the last 2-3 years since they let Aubangyournan go?
WTF is their board playing at?

It just defies belief that they haven't addressed it.
If they did, you would have to fancy them to get proper close to Liverpool if not pass them.  They'd also be properly in the hunt for the CL.
It makes so sense at all.

Granted they wouldn't want to spend big money on a relatively old player but Toney would have got 20-25 goals a season in their side with Saka and Odegaard serving chances up on a plate for him?

(Don't get me wrong, I'm not complaining because there's fuck all chance of them winning anything but jeez!)

Didn’t they go after Toney but he chose the money? Cant blame them for not playing chicken with Saudis. Just don’t think there are many top level CFs around right now, Isaak should be the target.

They also sold Nketiah, who might not have been good enough to be first choice, but definitely would do a job for them.

A number of the "top" sides don't like signing short term players, it's the modern obsession with signing either top players or young players with resale value, and end up signing nobody instead of a competent short term deputy. Arsenal would never sign a Chris Wood type for example.

Osimhen, Toney, Isak, even trying to get someone like Lookman, Guirassy or Boniface, surely would be better than no-one?

Just find their inability to sign a striker totally bizarre. Toney would have been ideal , there's plenty of strikers out there that would have done a job for them in their formation.

    Brilliant Tarkowski volleyed equaliser 90+7

Then 3 minutes of VAR checking it...GOAL!

Brilliant drama at the end of the Everton V Liverpool game

Should stay off the pitch though

Great finish by Tarkowski, thought Everton deserved at least a draw.

Result suits both teams really. Liverpool are 7 points clear and failing a miracle will be champions. Everton 10 points clear and not going down.

that was a dramatic ending, injury time equaliser, aggro on the pitch and sendings off, love it.

The issue was the money. He's on £400k  a week and with add ons means £500k and tax free too. Arsenal would need to pay him close to £1m a week. Their whole wage structure would go up in smoke if they paid him anything near that.

Should think the highest ranking of the FA were straight on the hot phone to that VAR room telling them under no circumstances disallow that goal!

Oh no one is going to be paying Toney anywhere near that over here. Wonder if a summer move for Ollie Watkins could be on the cards? Doesn't solve their problems now but someone of that ilk feels like the kind of target they'd go for.

I'm fairly neutral between the teams, but it feels right that Everton didn't lose the final derby played at Goodison.

  • To be honest it would be very funny to see Liverpool blow it, plus lose to Newcastle in the league cup and bow out of the CL to end the season trophy-less.

I am in the other camp, I hope they do the treble and Mo Salah is rewarded for what has been a sensational season
