Officially, at least, there were 7,489 fewer fans than the stadium's capacity at the Superbowl. I can't imagine the FA Cup Final being 10% empty.

One of the reasons is the Superbowl can only be played in Roofed stadiums or stadiums with an average temp above a certain level (it's why you can't have the game in Denver, or Seattle for example) and another is capacity gets chewed by all the hospitality and press.

Absolutely. After a shaky start the first four games, absolutely dominant all year. Comfortably the best team, best players in the league. And Fangio, one of the greatest defensive coordinators of all time.

As a Bears fan back from 85/86 it was great to see a defensive line totally obliterate an offense again in a Super Bowl and not just any side but one going for an unprecedented 3 in a row.

Spent a lot of time working in Philly over the years and have some good friends out there. Even they couldn't have dared believe they could put in such a dominant performance but so pleased that they did. If it couldn't be my Bears (as if) then really happy for all my Eagle supporting friends. Go Birds!

Watched the game back this morning. Certainly didn't expect that, but Hurts was really good and Fangio's D gave Mahomes a torrid time. Did the over 38.5 points so at least I made a bit of profit.

Yes, but its global viewing figures fall considerably lower than those of other sports who are, de facto, much more popular. I don't think the Superbowl is as universally popular, globally, as some Americans might have us believe.

Those decibel meters don't count when the jumbotron is asking people to "make some noise".

The reality is that the atmosphere at Blackpool away was better than any NFL or College football game i've been to
