Which by the way would look so much better with Dobson still in it unfortunately whatever went on at the club has cost us without doubt and people saying the replacements are a step up are putting a new meaning to SPIN 😂
If we had Taylor/Coventry/Dobson in place of Coventry/Docherty/Campbell we'd probably be better off but that ship had sailed before Jones even came in.1 -

I cannot stress the importance of this man. I know he goes under the radar a bit, and I really hope I don't jinx it, but to have a player of this quality, who rarely puts a bad performance in, can play week in, week out, for 90 minutes, is an absolute God send.
I am really appreciative of a player like Coventry who gives his all, and is always available. Very happy he got his first goal, and hopefully that's something he can improve on for his game going forwards.
An absolute shoe in so far for my player of the season, and he's a really lovely bloke to go with it as well, a lot of time for him.
Well done whoever was the main factor in getting this man in, our key player.22 -

I think he has been class this last month. Really stands out to me. Literally everywhere on the pitch chasing down everything. There was a moment today where he was involved winning the ball on the left side of the pitch, then the camera panned out for a quick second then to the right hand side and he was there again. Proper engine9

Yes. Class. Love him.0

Tipped to be the next Irish talent back in 2020 (video time code 17:06)0

Continues to be excellent in his own way. Very rarely does he come up with the kind of visually impressive move that makes highlight reels but his energy and engine are absolutely second to none.3

Has he learnt how to pass forwards now?0

Controlled the match, dictated everything.8

Class act again. Ran the show, would have him in the running for POTY.3

He was absolutely outstanding today.5

Between him and Jones for PotY so far for me - may well have been Ramsay but fir injury.
Good that there'll be a few options for once, rather than Dobson, someone who's leaving and even the person in 3rd being pretty rubbish, like the last few years.1 -
Been excellent in recent weeks.0

He's going to go down as the only positive from the Appleton reign, he's so good on the ball and an unbelievable engine, something about this club and Irish midfielders just work! (not you Harry Arter)

Finally getting to see what he was brought in for, George who?0

There was a moment today that highlighted the difference between him and Dobson as players. Stevenage were trying to counter with a ball over the top down our left. Their man was 1 v 1 with Coventry with the ball in the air and Coventry read it and made sure he got his body in ahead to control the ball and pass it back to AMB. Think Dobson would have held back a bit and put in a crunching challenge for a Stevenage throw. Both a good thing to do but shows difference in their playstyles and aims3

Whoops wrong thread!0

Coventry is better than Dobson. If he gets injured or suspended we are fucked1
-
So good, he's my favourite player. A managers dream. If the poty vote was tomorrow he would be my first pick then Lloydy.
Now let's just give him a 15 year contract and it will be happy days.2 -
