Southampton winning at Ipswich and Everton stuffing Leicester makes it very likely that all 3 promoted sides go straight back down again. Everton are now 10 points clear of the drop now. And ahead of Spurs!

I was at the Everton game today (half the family are Everton) if Leicester play like that every game they'll finish below Southampton

I'm wondering if Van Nistelrooy even lasts the rest of the season. Feels like they're destined to bounce between the champ and Prem now.

I genuinely thought that Ipswich would have a good chance of staying up after they beat Chelsea and then drew at Fulham a few weeks ago. Since then however it's been a horror show for them, 4 defeats out of 4, scoring 2 and conceding 14.
  • Spurs who haven't finished outside the top 8 since 2008, are now 16th after Everton's win today.
  • How on earth has VAR not overturned this penalty decision, he trips over his own leg clear as anything. We don't seem to have a week go by where there isn't an awful decision.........which VAR was supposed to prevent.

Spurs sign ex Southampton CB Kevin Danso on loan.
  • Villa close to confirming the signing of Marcus Rashford on loan. Could be a good move for him. Gets to play for a better side and also one who are still in the CL.

And they aren't on the hook for an obligation to buy if it doesn't work. Could be a very smart move.

West Ham close to landing Evan Ferguson on loan from Brighton. Will be interesting to see if he can put a run of games together and stay fit. Clearly talented but isn't starting over Welbeck or João Pedro.

  • Actually want Arsenal to win for once today - they aren't winning the league anyway and it would be funny if Haaland loses and hears 'stay humble eh' all day.

when you say Southampton CB, he played 6 times on a season's loan and they never took the option to buy him.

I'm assuming Danny Rose had to google him... like I did!

Humiliating result for Thomas Frank, losing to minnows Tottenham.

I really wish arsenal would stop trying to make this North London Forever song a thing, it’s awful.

    Where's it even come from?
  • Man City are making it a habit of gifting early goals to London opponents

An Arsenal fan* wrote it. He’s middle class and it’s full of ridiculous twee and condescending lyrics about what I assume is his image of working class culture (check out how bad some of this stuff is - https://genius.com/Louis-dunford-the-angel-north-london-forever-lyrics).

It’s been adopted as an Arsenal anthem, which they are trying to turn into their You’ll Never Walk Alone. The fact that it’s called North London Forever is hilarious given that Arsenal aren’t even from North London originally.

*the Arsenal fan in question is actually the son of Tracey from Birds of a Feather!
  • Christ almighty Havertz!!

Yeah that was a shocker from Havertz

  • Havertz seems to miss at least 1 absolute sitter every game! If you put a proven striker in this Arsenal team they would be scoring similar numbers to Salah and Haaland.

Given how he plays in such a mature way and that this is his 20th appearance of the season, it is incredible to think that Lewis-Skelly is just 18 years old

Said this after one of their games a few weeks ago, he's an unbelievable talent. Apparently he's a midfielder who's been moved to LB, but if he wants to stay as a LB then he's surely going to be in the England team soon.

I have never seen Arteta so relaxed and subdued since he's been manager of Arsenal. 2nd half after the city equaliser has been a stroll and even the much criticised Havertz has scored a good goal.

Make that 5-1 FT and their other young star Nwaneri scores a cracker.

    Man City’s legs have gone.
  • Lovely finish that... two very good England prospects getting on the scoresheet is good to see
