Whoopsie daiseee Man City0

Not the best opening 3 minutes for Man City’s young new signing.Gives the ball to Jackson for the opener, then gives the ball away again and has to hack down Palmer for a yellow card.1
-
Khusanuov* has had the worse 1st 5 minutes debut I've have seen from an outfield players for years in the Premier. First 3 touches were awful.
The header back was a shocker and how Chelsea didn't go 2 up later is a mystery when Palmer had just the keeper to beat.
* The 1st Uzbekistan player in the Premier on a 4 1/2 year deal and 40 million. Thrown in the deep end because of injuries to the many defenders of City.0 -
Gvardiol makes it 1-1 for Man city and that is the attack minded left footed CB 9th goal in his 50th appearance.0

Great finish from Haaland but appalling keeping from Sanchez, all that money and Chelsea haven’t bought a good keeper0

I wish CL posters watched some of the mistakes by Premier keepers; that was shocking from Sanchez who was caught in no man's land when he rushed out.
Charlton keepers get pelters if they mess up a kick.
Chelsea have shown no nous today. The young Uzbek defender was booked after 3 mins and they never tried to go one on one again.2 -
Just seen the sending off, do me a fucking favour2

Was a yellow, but not a red in a million years.1 -
There’s an angle of the red where it looks like he’s gone studs up above the ankle, can only assume that’s what the ref/var have seen0

(The answer is still neither).1 -

It's basically exactly what you said, just more clear. Only a booking though that one.0 -

Article on Matz Sels. I'd forgotten that he arrived a year ago for just £5m, which is an incredible bargain, as he's been right up there with the best keepers in the league.3 -
Ludicrous red card for Arsenal. The VAR officials who didn't change the decision should be immediately suspended.1

He's been touted around Europe as the best thing since sliced bread for ages, so it'll be interesting to see how he copes now with the added pressure of a nightmare start to his City career.0 -

Even if the ref thought it was a red, what's even worse is VAR not saying to him 'come on mate, it's a trip and he's nowhere near the goal, you should probably reconsider it'.
We've seen far worse challenges go unpunished or only get a yellow.0 -

You've got to factor in that he's just a kid, he only signed a few days ago, he doesn't speak a word of English, Pep said he hadn't even had a training session and then he's been thrown straight into a top 4 battle because of their injuries.
He'll learn from it and it'll do him good in the long run.

Bournemouth (relative to the size of the club) must've had one of the best weeks in PL history.
Win 4-1 away to a Newcastle side who had won 9 in a row in all comps.
Win 5-0 at home to a Forest side who are 3rd and being praised by everyone for their superb defensive record.9 -

Very impressive for a side that's currently without a central striker and playing a winger in Outarra up top.0 -

Surprised that the referee has given a straight red card, as cant see how he's seen that properly to begin with
However the Arsenal player has raked his studs down the leg of the Wolves lad that would have been a bloody painful one!!, and any challenge where Footballer goes into with his studs up, is asking for trouble... It wouldnt ever be given that way, but could also argue its the sort of challenge which would be worthy of two yellow cards if they happened separately - One for stopping the Wolves breakaway, the other for being a dirty little shit.
Ultimately the actually decision looks like the sort of Red that VAR would give rather than the Referee in the "modern game" though, but for me its the correct decision, regardless how we think the referee came to it1 -

I mean the contact starts here... Thats not a trip!! - He's raked his studs down the leg before tripping him

Enjoy your 10 red cards a game then.
Wolves player in the same game with the same referee did exactly the same tackle and got a booking. Consistency.1 -

But if a Football goes in with a studs up challenge nine times out of ten, they're asking for trouble - Given the amount of times Wolves have been screwed over, it sounds about right they got away with something.1 -
Trying to reason with an Arsenal fan, is seriously like trying to get Arteta to stick to his Technical Area
Aint gonna happen!!2
