Games to be played around the weekend, instead of over the weekend, it really is shit, no replays, they play too much, then cross the globe to play a friendly.

Passport to 5th round if we beat Preston.

It’s actually a better draw than a Championship side I’d say at this stage.

Becomes a winnable tie rather than a free pass / expected loss without the attraction of a PL name.
  • Did Raya go the same way for all 5 penalties?
I think he did. A good second before he needed to.
It was very bizarre, he dived so early for all the penalties. And this one was just pathetic......

It's written in the stars that we'll have the most boring cup run ever.

    R1 - Southend
    R2 - Walsall
    R3 - Preston
    R4 - Wycombe
    R5 - Wigan
    R6 - Coventry
    Semi - Southampton
    Final - Bournemouth
I was thinking it’s so boring we’re going to draw ourselves in the next round
Chance of the club doing half & half scarves?

With replays I would love it to be a system that if both teams agree to a one off game before kick off then its ET & penalties. But if one or both of the teams want a replay if needed, then it will be a replay. That way your Preston vs Charlton for example would likely be a one-off tie, but Spurs vs Tamworth would've been a replay. In practical terms its probably a can of worms but seems good on paper.

Is it just Exeter and Doncaster that are lower than us in the EFL, going into the fourth round draw?

    Edit: Wigan too
Really bad year for cup upsets

    I'm upset they've cancelled replays.

Feel for Southend they didn't get their replay at the Valley. Could of seen Macauley Bonne return.

We have bigger fish to fry, lose to Preston.

We avoid injuries and fixture backlogs.

Is Leeds v Millwall really that exciting when they've been in the same league so much recently?

Genuinely a good draw. Problem is beating Preston. If we can manage that though, Wycombe at home is a decent draw.

We have played Wycombe 8 times at home, if you don't include the disgraceful cupset we have won 5 of those 7 league meetings.

I wasn't that impressed by what I saw when they came here, so at least it's a winnable tie. Something like Birmingham, Blackburn, Leeds at home etc would have been worse imo.

This is a total nonsense. We are a mid table team. If ever we could try and go on a cup run, it's this year.

To anyone complaining about having a cup match to play between league fixtures, have a read about a time when we didn't have to put up with pussies moaning about it, and worse still, getting their way.

  • It's dull but on the unlikely chance we won both we would be in the last 16 which would be quite exciting.

Trip to Blackburn or Burnley guaranteed. Wherever they're is the potential for dullness, boredom and a total lack of excitement, we'll find it.

And the pundits on BBC (Lineker, Micah Richards and Walcott) were saying that the Arsenal / Man U game should have gone straight to pens without the 30 mins extra time.

My dad, a big Arsenal fan decided last minute to go to the third replay at Filbert St and I went along with him. We drove down from Stockport with no tickets because the attendance for the first replay at Leicester was 25k ish and the second replay attracted under 20k.

We were walking to the ground a good 40 minutes before ko and was wondering why so many fans were walking in the opposite direction. We started hearing rumours that the gates had been shut but carried on anyway as we thought it unlikely but we actually could not get anywhere near the ground, there were thousands locked out.

The attendance was just over 30k which was Filbert Streets capacity back then and I swear the same number were locked out. I never did get my head round why every man and his dog decided to turn up for what was the 5th game between the clubs in such a short space of time.

Man Utd have to be one of my favourite FA Cup teams .
Really pleased they made the wasp chewing prick cnuteta suffer that defeat yesterday but more importantly they have stopped palace in the final twice and even more important than that stopped the scum in the final too to preserve our lone presence of South East London’s only major trophy winners !

Don't mind Man United at all. Out of all the 'big 6' they're the ones I don't mind alongside City as well for stopping the insufferable Liverpool and Arsenal on a number of occasions in the Prem.
