They're 15th in the table and 6th in the form table. Why is this even a thing for fans of a mid table L1 side?
Our position has nothing to do with the subject though.
We could be non-league and I'd still hold hope they get relegated from Premier League.
Before this little run of form they had, they were very close to bottom 3, and only how poor Southampton, Leicester, and Wolves, were was stopping them being down there

Our natural rivals are Palace and Millwall. There is a Millwall (sort of) relegation thread and I thought there should be one to monitor the situation at Palace.
Unfortunately I didn't realise that they (haven't been relegated since we sent them down in 2005) always seem to get out of it in the final part of the season.
There is (so I guess we are) more interested in the Millwall one anyway.

It's important to share time with people who hate them as much as me, who want to see them get relegated as much as me. It looks like they will survive another year, because they are jammy as fuck, but there was a month or so then when I believed. And that belief was as sweet as it was fleeting.

With this thing called luck that 15th will turn into 18th and that mid table will turn into playoff winners.
With this thing called curse that 15th will turn into FA cup winners and that mid table will be confirmed tomorrow against Reading before the Xmas trees are down

If it was a curse that would be Palace getting into Europe and Charlton going Down. (Which I hardly doubt)
Southampton are down. Leicester are Struggling and Ipswich are a tad short with Everton a constant near the bottom 3 and Palace can accumulate enough points if Eze and Guehi aren't sold in this window and the absent Walton can get fit.
Chelsea are the only team I hate so pleased they didn't win today and I really don't want them to be in the Champions league next season.
We were similar, but tell everyone that we will qualify for Europe then lose the last ten and finish 12th.
I will always say (and remain in my rational).
Charlton were in the Premier League at the wrong time. Every success we had would of been better in the modern day (by the way the league has developed).
Crystal Palace have become "successful" by being a lower to middle ranking Premiership club. There's a band of clubs below them that have replaced them as "bottom feeders", these are more likely to get relegated than they are. This band are up-down-up clubs- Norwich Leeds W Brom Sheffield Utd etc. Without there being any official "no promotion/relegation" ruling the effect of the parachute payments is that effectively the wealth being circulated around about 24/25 clubs or so. CP have started to recruit and develop better players and are establishing themselves in the PL ...after all this time.

This is basically them for the next ten years (or when we finally get back into the Premiership to relegate them)
