Had it not been for the negative effect of the last budget I reckon I would have finished pretty close.
That's the thing when trying to forecast months in advance you never know what's round the corner.

Just for a bit of fun... Switched out £65k (wife and mine) of holding from premium bonds to stock market (range of ETFs) in December.
Return Apr-Dec of premium bonds returns - £1,075 - 2.15% annualised
Return so far on investments in investment account - (£802) - a minus 1.23% return.... My plan of CGT not being an issue is working a little too well.

Someone localish to me won £1m on 37k holding. Winning number only purchased in November and January was first time in the draw
Just the £75 for me on my 25k holding. Mrs Chaz got £300 on max and Jnr £100 on his 10k.2 -
