……but who is the best?Algarveaddick said:I like Stewart Lee and I like James Corden.
Only one way to find out…..FIIIIIIIIGHT!!!5 -
Gavin & Stacey was brilliant. Outnumbered was awful, it's a programme I've always enjoyed watching, but this episode was not funny and the the subject matter wasn't right for Boxing Day, it was very disappointing and will probably mean that it was the last time it will be made.Mendonca In Asdas said:Thought Gavin and Stacey, was 10 x better than the Outnumbered Christmas special, which was absolute garbage.3 -
Agreed. Outnumbered was very poor.ME14addick said:

I didn't think it was as good as it could have been and a bit disappointed with the Southampton docks bit which as anyone who lives in Southampton could tell immediately it wasn't Southampton docks at all.
It was actually filmed in Newport docks with the Southampton sign superimposed. Perhaps the budget had run out.
Obviously I don't come from Southampton so I'm not as upset as the local yokels but I can't see the point of making it a big thing about going to Southampton when Ness wasn't actually getting on cruise ship.2 -
So a programme predominantly filmed in wales should shlep all the way to Southampton docks for authenticity?
I am also gonna hazard a guess they didn’t actually keep driving between Barry and Billericay either to film those scenes in Pam and Micks house13 -

Pam and Mick’s house in Billericay is actually in Powys.3 -
Things are normally filmed in alternative locations, it’s really not a big deal.southamptonaddick said:I didn't think it was as good as it could have been and a bit disappointed with the Southampton docks bit which as anyone who lives in Southampton could tell immediately it wasn't Southampton docks at all.

I've got some bad news about Nelson Mandela house.24 -
Brentford isn't it?

The point I was making is that they could have just said it was Newport docks rather than try to pad out the episode by saying they had to drive all the way to Southampton.
Sorry if people are upset for pointing out that it wasn't filmed where they said it was. 😞1 -

None of the Essex stuff was filmed in Billericay. Or even Essex. Not a bit of it!
Even The shipmans lovely gaff is also in Wales.
Suppose you'll never watch it again now :-)1 -
Presumably the wedding was in Essex, fair old drive on Dave’s Coaches to Newport 😂
The ONLY negative was not having Deano otherwise pretty much perfection2 -

He’s a writer and comedian, not a nutter.2 -
'Pam and Mick's house' is in a village called Dinas Powys a few miles from Barry.MrOneLung said:So a programme predominantly filmed in wales should shlep all the way to Southampton docks for authenticity?

The Ewok scenes in Return of the Jedi wasn't filmed in Endor by all accounts.
F*****g pi55 take!10 -
Glad I wasn't the only one who spotted that mate. I guess Matt Baynton is just too busy these days?Southendaddick said:Presumably the wedding was in Essex, fair old drive on Dave’s Coaches to Newport 😂

Smithy gives his middle names as Noel Edmund in the episode, but wasn’t that his sons middle names per the christening episode?3

I can't believe they expect us to think they got onto the M25, over QE2 Bridge and round the M25 that quick...MrOneLung said:So a programme predominantly filmed in wales should shlep all the way to Southampton docks for authenticity?

I assumed that was the joke. It finally explained why he was so annoyed at the christening, because it was his own name being laughed at.1 -
Can someone clarify where planet of the apes was filmed? Were they even real apes?4

1. In various locations in the USA, although some of the original 1968 version was filmed in Tenerife.Todds_right_hook said:Can someone clarify where planet of the apes was filmed? Were they even real apes?
2. No, although humans are apes by true definition, in which case, yes.0 -
In fairness the wedding was in Essex, so they'd have had to pad out the episode by then driving all the way to Newport.southamptonaddick said:The point I was making is that they could have just said it was Newport docks rather than try to pad out the episode by saying they had to drive all the way to Southampton.

I would rather attempt humour than be a full grown adult embarrassing himself by having a tantrum over the location that a tv show was filmed.southamptonaddick said:
