I saw this at Well Hall Coronet with my brother,  must have been around 85/86. Was an absolute buzz, as a kid as i was obsessed with Transformers.

As an adult i find Disney and Pixar films a drag. While they can be very funny, the characters echo classic tropes with very similar arcs.

Saw it first when I got the VHS for my 5th birthday, wore that tape out I loved it so much. Still love Transformers to this day at the age of 41! And this old movie still looks great in the 4k Ultra HD blu ray version!

I brought itvon DVD sometime ago, but without a dvd player i can't actually watch it.

I remember the head of Unicron floating in space, but that may have been a subsequent film.

I sold most of my G1 figures about 20 years ago to buy a microphone and some other recording equipment. 💔

That got shown in my primary school, which was a wild choice.

Growing up, it was probably Wind in the Willows, which I used to watch all the time, still got a soft spot for it now. 

I've been watching a few Ghibli films recently which are great. Saw The Grave of the Fireflies which was a fantastic film, but made me sad for about three days afterwards!

I think that was the point? Genuinely not a movie made for children - I've never had kids, and never wanted them, but that opening montage hits me in the gut. There are only five films that have ever made me cry - and Up is one of them. Just because it's animated, doesn't mean it needs to be happy clappy.

I made the mistake of watching it on a plane, and all the times people have told me anecdotes about distracting themselves with films on planes, thought it was a load of waffle so switched it off after the pure misery of the opening and put the eye mask on fr good measure

There are a lot to choose from. The original Pixar ones are all fab. Iron Giant is great. Love Studio Ghibli. Overall I'd go for Spirited Away. I like classic Disney but cba with anything sfter the 60s. Not a film but a series Cowboy Bebop is also up there.
