All I want for Christmas is Lloyd Jones5

An article on FL World claims Alan Nixon has said Wycombe want to sign Lloyd Jones.0
-
If we’ve sunk to the point where we can’t fend off interest from Wycombe, then we are truly screwed.

He is out of contract in the summer and our owners sold a stand out player for relative buttons to a team in L1 last season so would not surprise me at all.
I have faith that Scott would reinvest any money well.5 -
Alan Nixon 😂Scoham said:An article on FL World claims Alan Nixon has said Wycombe want to sign Lloyd Jones.3 -
If Nixon is claiming it there won't be truth to it. Wycombe do have deep pockets now though so worth keeping an eye on their business3

Talks are going on with Jones he won’t be leaving in January .. take it you mean a player we turned down two bids for once he handed in a transfer request we got a very good price..900,000 .Athletico Charlton said:He is out of contract in the summer and our owners sold a stand out player for relative buttons to a team in L1 last season so would not surprise me at all.

Wycombe are caked and top of the league, wouldn't write this one off.1

That's it everyone. He's on his way. LolRonnieMoore said:

Read the article and it says he’s struggled for opportunities this year 😂
Piss poor journalism0 -
Felt like his presence made a big difference to our defensive solidity today.7
-
Yeah he was a real difference maker and it was noticeable how much he had a go at MG and AM when they messed up. Also stepped up well to play a Lincoln striker offside tooCallumcafc said:Felt like his presence made a big difference to our defensive solidity today.1 -
Massive difference having him back, Mitchell looks a much better player with Jones alongside him7

still shanks too many clearances when he has a simple pass on but a bit less soElthamaddick said:Massive difference having him back, Mitchell looks a much better player with Jones alongside him0 -

6 clean sheets in 11 games when he's played
1 clean sheet (against the dismal Burton) in 7 games when he was missing12 -
Have to get him signed up to a new deal ASAP7

I think he'll be sold in January, its what we do.YannTheMann said:Have to get him signed up to a new deal ASAP0 -

yeah he will go. Since being at Liverpool likes a 2 year stint at clubs.1

He’s our best player.0

I've been hammering our shite CBs for years. Finally we've actually got a good pairing. Big fan of both.9

Given that Lloyd Jones has only got a two year contract, you’d have expected the club to have at least tried to negotiate a one year additional option. Maybe they did, who knows.Given that the team is going nowhere this season, I suspect that Lloyd will let the contract run down and have a look at his options elsewhere.5

If we have ambitions of getting up next season then we need to plan now to keep Lloyd Jones.Blucher said:Given that Lloyd Jones has only got a two year contract, you’d have expected the club to have at least tried to negotiate a one year additional option. Make him a good offer reflective of his status as our best player and let’s avoid a drawn out saga that we’ve all seen 100 times before and normally ends in a player we want to, and could, keep leaving us.5 -
Mind boggles at the sh*t they will bring him to replace him.
Lets have a look at 2017-18 Luton squad and find out.2 -
Ironically Lloyd Jones did play for Jones at Luton but never became a regular.MickeyBennett said:Mind boggles at the sh*t they will bring him to replace him.

Absolutely correct - unless we want to become a League 1 fixture for the long term, we must hang on to our best players.se9addick said:

Given what's happened under the current regime - Dobbo being the paradigm example - how much confidence can we realistically have that this will happen, particularly given the side's mediocrity ?0 -
We’re already a league 1 fixture and next season have potential to be THE league 1 fixture with the longest current run.Blucher said:

It wouldn’t surprise me if there’s a club option to extend by 12 months there usually has been in recent years. We usually activate it when we can’t agree a new contract like happened with CBT, Small and Leaburn.0 -
12 starts, 7 clean sheets. (Wigan, Orient, Bolton, Shrewsbury, Birmingham, Lincoln, Mansfield)
7 games without him, 1 clean sheet. (Burton)9
