It’s not even the end of year, wait till the end of the month
Someone told me they do it from Jan-Nov so the lists don't get "distorted" by Christmas songs. Which would make sense.

Otherwise I would imagine Shakey's Christmas effort would be top of your list! ;-)

Can't be many people globally who also have these artists as their top 5 (can you tell my Spotify is hijacked by my wife/daughters? 😂).

Spotify must think I have some kind of split personality disorder...

    Oasis
    Alter Bridge
    Metallica
    Alice in Chains
    Queen

I’ve a feeling Oasis was about 5x ahead of the rest.

My most played song for the year was Gimme Shelter by the Stones.

A song that came out before I was born.
Have you heard Merry Claytons version…..it’s excellent?

I'm in the top 0.01% of Vangelis listeners. Which is probably easier to achieve but, I'd argue, better.
I'm in the top 2% of Joe Brown, but only cos I'm a slow learner as I strum along to his ukulele album  :/

    Fantastic music taste.

Same for you too, went to see Richard Thompson perform 1,000 years of popular music about 15 years ago. Was absolutely amazing.

Bit surprised as had been killing the Deftones, Jimmy Eat World etc "teenage days" playlist a lot I thought

I do love a bit of Nick Drake Sunday's though.

I mean I don’t hate the Police but Spirits in the material world kept appearing on my radio. Hundreds of songs I like better. I’m very surprised Radiohead or Thom York didn’t make an appearance.

    2,313 Artists

I work in an office with some women who talk incessantly and unnecessarily. So my music keeps me focused and sane.

The only music I listen to is Capital radio when the wife is in the car, or whatever is playing when I am out of the house so I have no idea who half the artists are who are listed on this thread !!

367 genres listened to this year (I had no idea there were that many), but 45 of my 50 most listened to tracks came from just one band and the top two tracks came from one other band.
