Hmm, his shirt on the club twitter is shown as Kobashi Enslin. Might need a stewards enquiry on this one.

Or I assume it’s his mother’s maiden name. He’s half Japanese.

We don't usually put players first names on their shirts though. We only extend to an initial if we've got multiple instances of the same surname in the squad.

Interesting edge case. What did the official teamsheet say? Enslin or Kobashi Enslin?

Welcome to Leon McKenzie, the 694th first team player for the club
Just reposting the first post on this thread from October 2009

Congrats to Danny, thanks to Ali and all who have kept the flame burning.

Pleasing that all the hard work here and by @shirty5 @Stig and others is being recognised by the club and the Ex Players Association with caps.

     On to V2000
For the record, the person who deserves the most credit is the late, great Colin Cameron because it was his work that made the original v list possible.

    And Morley Farror before him
I never knew that. Thank you.

So I guess you didn’t see my article in the last issue of Voice of The Valley. You can still read it on line , as I wrote about Colin Cameron and his friend Alan Honey.

It tells you all about Colin Cameron and his work as historian on Charlton Athletic.

My best guess is that I probably read it at the time and promptly forgot every word. That's just my forgetfulness though, please don't take it as feedback.  I'll check it out.

Took two corners, which he passed to Leaburn who held the ball up to implement Jones's game management plan (time wasting)

    V902 Jay MINGI

    30.9.20 L Bowyer

    V903 Luca VEGA

    30.9.20 L Bowyer

Three more potential debutantes on the bench as well

A blast from the past, but a friend of mine met a recruitment consultant today, and it was Luca Vega! It seems that after we released him at the end of the 20/21 season (having made just the one EFL Trophy appearance) he left football and changed careers completely.

Wow, your mate did well to remember. If I'd met a bloke called Luca Vega, I'd never have made the connection.

I assume it was Vega that brought it up, as my mate isn't a Charlton fan anyway!

It seems that Bowyer had promised him a new contract, but Adkins then released him instead.

Can you ask you mate to get a contact number or email as @killerjerrylee may well want to speak to him for his Valiant 1000 book
