Very happy with that and 3 years +1 is decent. Now wondering if he will start today with Coventry absent.2

You said this some time ago but I heard West ham played the 3 CB today yet the analyst said they left Chris Wood unmarked and he scored as they looked at each other !
First goal for Zach Mitchell and may he continue to improve whether he ends up a CB or Midfielder.3 -
Very good header for his goal today1

Gomez and Konsa also played FB for us at times, as indeed did Steve Brown.4 -
And it’s been very useful for Gomez and Konsa in their post CAFC careers tookillerandflash said:

Of course Brown played in goal too. He never did become our number one keeper though.killerandflash said:

Surprised & saddened to note that the majority of posters haven't mentioned Zach's goal yesterday on the post match thread.
Right place for TT's free kick and a brave diving header ...what's not to like ?
OK, he's in the team mainly for his defensive duties but recently NJ has admitted there could be another role for him to play in the future.
As Zach's stated in a recent interview, he's still learning & we know that opportunities to show his merits have been few & far between thus far.
He IS one of ours with the world his oyster /lobster ( thanks Del Boy) if you like...
Get behind him & help him cement a regular place in OUR team.
Not in an opponents' shirt.12 -
Until he started commentating on our games 😁Hal1x said:

Can anyone who was there say how he coped at RB?0

Thought he struggled first half (nice goal aside) and they targeted him. It's hard to comment about the second half as the view isn't so great of the other end of the pitch.
I am a big fan of Zach Mitchell but feel that a carefully selected loan for the second half of the season at a level where he could play the majority of games would be good for his development.2 -
Problem is, given our injury issues at the moment, I'm not sure we can spare him.

He's already had a L2 loan, so if he goes out I can't see it being to the NL. Therefore it can only happen in January.
I think we'll keep him here though as Jones rates him, and at some point he'll get a run in the side. Hopefully when that comes he takes the chance.4 -
Struggled early on and even second half most of their attacks down his side resulted in a cross into the box - though he wasn't getting much/any help from those in front of him. Didn't help him when we played out from the back with their pressure on a tight pitch either.fenaddick said:Can anyone who was there say how he coped at RB?
Well taken goal and made some crucial challenges in ET, but doesn't look ready to be a first team regular just yet.

I'd be happy to see him in a City shirt. After our famous 3rd round win at the Etihad in January when he swaps shirts with Haaland.Fanny Fanackapan said:Surprised & saddened to note that the majority of posters haven't mentioned Zach's goal yesterday on the post match thread.

Sorry but after seeing him in the last 2 games I can see why he isn’t starting! Started well on Tuesday night but then fell to bits! And on Saturday had a torrid time against a non league winger and apart from the goal was ordinary at best.Fanny Fanackapan said:Surprised & saddened to note that the majority of posters haven't mentioned Zach's goal yesterday on the post match thread.

Zac showed on Saturday he has a lot of attributes that we should be utilising more. I would rather we played him at CB than Gillesphey.3
-
Looks really promising and he knows where the goal is too. Can't say that of some of our recently departed professionals.

Similar to what a lot of fans said about Chris Solly when he too got his first team debut out of position against Millwall.BoPeepAddick said:
